Hi,
My dog, Gizmo, has had very loose bms yesterday and today. SHe got me up every hour on the hour last night to go out. She is feeling great, and not acting sick at all. The bm's have some mucus in them, and are soft ice cream in texture.
I have stopped regular food, and am feeding her 3/4 rice mixed with 1/4 canned food. (she is on a special canned food cuz she tends to form crystals in her bladder)
Any other advice? She has no other symptoms, and has not been in contact with unknown dogs. (she was in contact with my parents dogs about 2 weeks ago, but I know they are worm free)
She does suffer from a skin allergy, which I've been treating with baking soda/water mixture and aloe vera gel. (not at the same time)
Thanks!

I've been giving her some powdered probiotics on her food to help repopulate the friendly guys.

Probiotics are great, that should be all you need to do unless she has a history of other symptoms?

I'm cautionly optimistic, Giz only had one BM today, and it's firmer. I'm still keeping her on the rice/dog food mixture for the next few days. Her diet needs to be more alkaline with her bladder crystal problem, and I think the rice is helping with that. Thanks for listening. I was crazy with worry yesterday.
