Hi Shelley,

For the last couple of weeks my left eyelid is a little swollen and has some bumps on it. It is dry and really itchy sometimes. Also today my jawline (by my ear)on my left side of face is itchy also. Do you know what this might be from?

Thanks

When it's the left side it's low chromium, which is a very important mineral that gets depleted when you eat sugars.

Up your fluids, take the RDA of chelated chromium for about 2 weeks, avoid simple sugars for awhile, and that should take care of it! Smile

Can you recommend a brand that is good?

Certainly. For minerals you have a lot of options. I've found that Solaray is good IF the minerals are chelated, they tend to get fancy and do other types that don't get absorbed, so read the label.

NOW brand is cheap yet good.

KAL brand is very good.

If you see a chiropractor, ask if they can get you Metagenics products, which are about the best.

Ideally, find a bottle of chromium that is a combination of several different kinds of chromium, such as GTF chromium and chelated and piccolinate (sp?). GTF is the best for people prone to adult-onset diabetes, hypoglycemia or who eat diets high in simple sugars.

Smile
