Hi Shelley,

After almost 12 weeks on the diet, my IBS symptoms are way better, but I'm still spaced out and sometimes tired, but mostly very anxious. I can feel better my body messages so I'm improving slowly but steadily Smile

Something curious. Yesterday my mom wanted to celebrate my Master Degree graduation, so she insisted on baking a cake. She knows I'm on this diet but she insisted so much (obviously she doesn't understand the diet).

So we baked the cake together, she gave me that. In all, she added just half can of condensed milk and half cup of sugar/orange to the cake toping. The cake was from whole wheat flour and eggs. I only ate a normal sized piece of the resulting (big) cake.

The one thing I noticed is I felt better than I've felt in weeks. My mood went up, my energy too, and I felt a lot less anxious and happy. This lasted until today and is going steadily away. Of course today I behave myself with only vegetable broth and some chicken, everything pungent as usual.

So why did I felt that MUCH better? I'm wondering, if my problem may be more related to parasites or other stuff than Candida, not that I'm discarding it, but I read sugar hypes like this are more close to parasite symptoms than Candida. I've never had rashes or other stuff, but I've had terrible IBS, prostate problems and the usual mood swings, etc.

And the diet is helping a lot.

Maybe your input might help me understand better.

Thanks.

It's called finally getting enough calories. When you cut out all the junk, it's really difficult to get enough total calories for your needs. when you feel out of it, eat something protein-rich instead of sugar-rich and you'll get the same results without any crashing.

Cake isn't all that bad if it doesn't have a sugary frosting and if you've cut out the daily bread rations. IT's better to have one slice of cake a week then to have sandwiches daily.

When I'm not in cleansing mode, I tend to have either cake, pasta or pancakes or something like that about every 4-5 days because the rest of the time I'm not getting enough calories from just meats, fruits and veggies.

Oh and it can be the obvious reason - that you're still addicted to sugars and alcohol and have been going through withdrawals. That happens to candida people because yeasties makes alcohol. When we cut out sugars we jones until we get some again or until we cleanse and dry out properly.

Interesting, you always have the logical answer which everybody else missed to tell me Wink . That's why I'm following your diet for sure.

You are right. In my case I think I'm missing the calories because I'm being very strict on the diet, although I indulge myself with some Quinoa cakes from time to time, everything else is delicious vegetables and pungent preparations (you know, now it tastes like heaven!!, whereas before I didn't enjoy them as much).

And at the same time, I may not be clean enough. I can tell that cause now, 2 days after the cake, I'm getting toxic stuff all around. Tomorrow I'll do an enema to clean up and let you know.

I'm serious, my body is taking clearer to me now. I feel very different not only physically, but mentally.

Many thanks again Shelley.
