Hi Shelley:

What are your thoughts on Dr. D'Adamo's blood type diet?

Thanks,

Hi Robertin! That is one of the diets I recommend following up on to see if it works for you. Many of us here have found that the foods it recommends avoiding are the exact foods that make us feel tired or allergic. I like that it's the only diet that is based on real genetic markers, and I've seen in live blood analysis how the red blood cells can become sticky so... definitely worth checking out. There are a lot of correlations between being Type O and being more prone to sugar-diseases than other types, it's probably why native, tribal peoples get so addicted to alcohol and then end up with diabetes.

But as always, I don't recommend being extreme; if a food is a known "baddie" but you don't experience any negative effects, then consider it as part of your 20% cheat and still enjoy it occasionally IF you enjoy it. 80% healthy, 20% decadent/cheat, that's the maintenance stage. Variety is key to life quality! Smile
