Hi Shelley,

I've tried 3 different times to do a slow flush...too scared to try the full on flush. Each time I take the stone dissolvers GCG, malic acid, lecithin and liv 52. I get overwhelmed by the 7th or 8th day with a toxic feeling which makes me scared to continue.

I have had to take migraine meds for several years, love coffee and enjoy my daily glass of wine. I had breast cancer and went through radiation a year ago. So maybe I am overloaded with toxins?

I had a colonic to clean out and was told perhaps I was allergic to the GCG or something else. I want to continue with some sort of cleanse but want to be safe. Do you have any theories or suggestions?

Thank you! Smile

A week of cleansing is great! Much better than doing nothing, that's for sure. All you have to do to stay in your comfort zone is cycle in a day without any supplements beyond super-foods once or twice a week and then you should be able to cleanse longer.

Let your symptoms be your guide - when things start to get uncomfortable, drink the Cleansing Drink, or just plain water or broth, eat something fun, go for a walk, do an enema if you can, fiber shake if you can't...

It's best to do more than one stone dissolver, but you can cycle them - do lecithin almost every day, malic acid every-other day, GCG every-other day IF you're not allergic, and then stop all of them and only do the Liv.52 and peppermint tea for a day or two, then repeat from the beginning.

Radiation can leave behind lots of toxins so it's best to go slow, with plenty of fluids and anti-oxidants. So whip up a berry smoothie and perhaps take some ALA/DMSA around the clock for a day.

Good luck! Smile

Shelley,
Thanks for the reply. Would kinesiology be the best way to know if I am allergic? I am not very good at doing that but can give it a try. Also, are the ALA/DMSA pretty safe? I am not familiar with these but just read up a bit...they sound pretty powerful. When you say use around the clock, I am not sure what you mean dosage-wise.

Thanks again Smile

If you're a beginner at kinesiology the best thing to do is get a friend to help you and do the "push the arm down" method. You can do it before taking something, while just holding it, and you should do it again after actually taking it (hold it again too) to see if your body has learned differently, especially if it's something you've never taken before. If you get a negative, check again the next day, as that negative may have been a "you don't need it now" type no, not a "never" no.

Dr. Andrew Cutler is the expert on using ALA to detox. He focuses on heavy metals. Very good protocols for that. Basically you take something like 50 mg of ALA every 3-4 hours around the clock for 1-3 days. His protocol should come up if you Google his name.
