Hey Shelley
I have a question to ask for a friend (who signed up a while ago after I told him about the wonderful site, but for some reason his account hasn't yet been activated). He has candida, liver congestion, drained adrenals, and hypoglycemia. What a crappy combo eh! His tongue is a mess (I think he emailed pics to you... did you get them?). A question for him is: I kno you recommend no rice for the first month, but is it be really that bad anyways? Without lots of small protein/carb meals he just gets to weak to function, and can't keep up the candida diet? Or even sweet potatoes or yams without abstaining for a month first? I kno it's not really allowed, but... does it really do that much damage? Its just really hard to deal with Candida diet while being hypoglycemic... he just needs something of substance otherwise he feels soooo weak. Its kind of like the greater of two bads.... swee potatoes/rice vs. low blood sugar. He has done some juice fasting and a bunch of fiber bowel cleansing, and I got him on adrenal herbs and bieler broth. Thank you Shelley! |

You can have rice and sweet potatoes during the first month IF you eat small amounts prepared with plenty of carminitive spices. So if he's up to making Kichadi that is wonderful for hypoglycemics, and sweet potatoes go really well with cinnamon and nutmeg. He should also start taking GTF Chromium right away, and Gotu Kola.

| that's excellent! Since, anyways, he was planning on eating 6 very small meals a day for the hypo instead of the normal 3. So it'll only be a bit at a time. thanks! |
