I have some trouble with my knees getting painful after rigorous exercise.

Too many squats would aggravate them and more recently a 3 hour hike has been a little rough on them.

What would you do? I was considering Garden of Life FYI or Glucosamine Condroiton.

That's a good plan, any joint mixture that has chondroitin mixed with MSM will do, you don't have to pay GofL's exhorbitant prices for this, and Vit C, capsicum and good EFA oils are also good.

Knees are many athlete's weak points. There's not much you can do beyond supplements, stretching, massage, hot/cold packs to increase circulation. Some athletes just have to switch to sports that are not so demanding of the knees, such as sticking to level playing fields instead of inclines, etc.

Thanks, I did a little more reading and was considering Udo's Choice oil as well.

What is MSM?

MSM is basically sulfur. It's a main building block of tissue cells and helps to detox tissues.

Manganese is only called for if you're prone to dislocating your joints. It's best not to take manganese unless you're certain-sure that you're deficient, because overdosing can lead to cancer and a ton of other badness.

My knees seem to be adjusting. I am going to get some good hiking shoes. I also am going to go to one of those places that make custom inserts for peoples shoes. hopefully that and the nutrition will help.
