hey Shelley,
i'm tryin to get a bit more iodine in the diet, and I do have a Norwegian kelp supplement (575mg each), but I have no clue how much iodine is in this kelp, and I can't find it anywhere on google. Do you have any recommendations on dosage? I have no clue how often to take this stuff. Thanks a ton! |

| this is why I do not take kelp supplements. No way of knowing whether the kelp is food-grade quality. If it isn't it could be full of the wrong metals. Better to just take iodine and know what you're getting. |

Ah, I see. O well, not like the kelp was expensive anyways. I see you recommend Atomidine, but I can't find it up here in Canada, and its kind of a pain to get stuff from the States. Do you think the liquid iodine supp would be ok? Apparently its extracted from atlantic kelp. Thanks Shelley!

| hmmm.. the link didn't work for me, but so long as they can say how much iodine is in each serving, you should be okay. Just be sure to stick to RDA. |

okay, should be fine then. I'll just paste what it says just in case:
"Trophic Organic Iodine is a unique formula containing the essential trace mineral iodine organically bound to glycerol. Together they play a key role in the development and functioning of the thyroid gland."
"EACH MILLILITRE CONTAINS:
Iodine (organically bound) 6.25 mg
Each drop contains approximately 0.25 mg."
I won't be taking it every day anyways, since I do have sea salt and concentrace drops every day anyways. I'll prob take a drop 2 or 3 days a week. Thank you Shelley!! |
