Hi posters:

Has anyone had success treating their endometriosis, cysts, tumors, PMS, menstrual pain, estrogen dominance, hormone imbalance, etc. with changes to their diet, liver cleansing, or anything else?

I know this is the protocol, but I have yet to read about someone who actually came away cured (except Julia Chang). I am looking for some light at the end of the tunnel.

If you have a story, will you share it? Include all the juicy details of what you tried, what worked and what didn't, the frustrations, and the outcomes.

Thanks!!

For meunstral issues, I first took Shelley's advice and started paying attention to getting good amounts of essential oils and vitamins in my diet regularly. It takes away most or all of my monthly PMS, cramp issues.

I also worked with a nurse practitioner who did hormone saliva testing on me and then prescribed certain hormone creams for me to take in light doses to bring my hormones into better balance. Once I did that, my estrogen issues and all the nasty side effects diminished greatly. I can say with confidence that I feel pretty darned normal again after a few years of feeling awful.

I avoid regular doses of things which Julia Chang describes as estrogenic. I'll have a little bit of anything, but I don't include estrogenic foods or herbs into my diet on a regular basis. I've noticed that when I do, I do see an increase in estrogen related symptoms.

I have also been slowly eliminating or restricting myself access to outside chemicals and such that mess with a woman's hormones, and that includes non-organic food products. Pesticide exposure, whether in foods or having the outside of your house sprayed for bugs puts a huge burden on your hormones. When I switched to a natural bug spray from a commercial one, I noticed an immediate and marked improvement in my health and symptoms.

I try to sweat in sauna or in exercise as often as my body can tolerate it to get the lingering past pesticide residue out of me. Sweating, I believe I've read, is the only thorough way to rid the body of pesticide toxins, among some others. And, pesticides play a huge role in estrogen imbalances for women.

I keep my liver clean with khombucha, LiverSaver, carrot salad, veggie juicing, castor oil packs, lecithin, NYF and citrus juice/olive oil cocktails on a regular basis, and I help my thyroid stay in balance with coconut oil. Helps my hormones feel good, too, because the liver and thyroid can better deal with them.

No success yet, but I have just about all the problems you listed. I have found it impossible to stay with a good diet, so my cleansing has been one step forward, two or three (or more) back. I've been doing well for 3 weeks now, even in the throes of PMS, so maybe I can do some good. I hope!!

Thanks!

J F-- Congratulations! You sound like you have done some pretty comprehensive work. What were the estrogen issues you were dealing with? Did you see a regular nurse practitioner? Or an "open-minded" one?
