Hi All,
Thanks for creating a great website and forum. I titled this post "getting desperate", but the truth is I've been desperate for a while. I've suffered from acne - blackheads, whiteheads, and cysts - for about 15 years (I am 32), the last 5 of which have been the worst. It shows up mostly around my mouth, chin, jawline, and sides of my face. In the last two years, I've drastically improved my diet (I now eat raw and cooked vegetables, basmati rice, mung beans, almonds, chicken, salmon, and small amounts of fruit and yogurt) and I take certain supplements that I have been told should help my skin, namely EFAs and coconut oil. I've done 4 or 5 liver flushes, a couple of 3-day juice fasts. I take probiotics on and off and supplements (pantothenic acid) for adrenal support (I have tested extremely low for adrenals but feel they have improved lately through rest and diet). Lately I have been doing 2 or 3 detox baths every week, and taking yoga classes too to help de-stress. I did acupuncture for at least 6 months. I exercise regularly. Many of my decisions about food, etc., have been made after reading the information on this website.
The problem is that nothing is helping. Truthfully, my skin hasn't improved in the least since making all of these changes, and that was two years ago! My skin is scarred, and every day I wake up with a host of new pimples that can take weeks or months to go away completely. It is especially worse around my period and ovulation.
I have a history of antibiotics, birth control pills, and accutane, but those were all over 5-10 years ago. I know I did have Candida overgrowth, but even after being on a Candida diet for 3 months I saw no improvement. I have seen a lot of alternative doctors for this, and nothing they have suggested has helped. I have tried supplementing with zinc, the full range of B vitamins, Vitamins C, E, and A...these haven't helped.
I don't know where to turn, or how to figure out what is going on in my body. I feel like I must have the worst, most stubborn case of acne ever known...I don't know why nothing helps. I don't go camping or swimming anymore, because I hate being seen without makeup. It's been going on so long, that I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm totally dedicated to having clear skin but I don't know what to dedicate myself to now!
Any advice from Shelley or suggestions from others? Is there something I am missing? I want to cry some mornings when I wake up to 10 or more pimples. Please, please, please, I hope there is something else I can try, or some test to take to figure out what is wrong with me...
Thanks so much,
Emma |

Emma,
I've done a lot of reading lately that acne may be caused by parasites. An excellent way to kill parasites, as well as keeping generally healthy, is to use a zapper. I've done a lot of research on them lately and the one that stands out to me and which I bought last week is one called Terminator II. The creator of this zapper has a fascinating history and he uses something called ogone in his zapper that seems to give it the edge over other zappers. I've been using mine for about a week now and am loving the results. But you can read through his material and decide for yourself. Educating yourself and going with your instincts is the key. At the bottom of the page, read through the tesimonials. One of the "side effects" of using the zapper is that it helps to clear up acne! The creator (Don Croft) cured his own 14 year bout with depression shortly after he started wearing his newly-developed zapper (the ogone cause a "feel good" feeling). I'm not affiliated with the creator and actually just started pouring over all of he and his wife's incredible work earlier this week.
Good luck!

Oh! Zapping has not been talked much about here. I am dealing with the critters from hell here and Im trying to decide on a good zapper. Have you tried the Ultimate Zapper from Ken Presner? I have heard good reports from users.
What differnce has zapping made to you?
Thank you |

Thanks for your reply, Hope. I am interested too in what kind of results you are having...I like to hear from real people, I am never sure what to think when I read this or that website.
I'd love to hear how it's working for you!
Thanks,
Emma |

Well, I had used a home-made zapper in the past, but I recently started looking at them again because I knew I had several signs of having parasites....a heavy amount of mucas in my bm's, drooling while sleeping, acne. So I was doing some research on getting another zapper, because I wanted a more up-to-date convenient one. I was originally looking at expensive ones b/c I wanted the option to choose the frequency for specific ailments. But in my research on the toolsforhealing.com website, one caught and held my attention--the terminator II zapper. It was so easy to use--and you could build up to wearing it for 24 hrs. Plus, the more I read about the creator and the additional product he used in his zapper, it just blew me away. He uses something called orgone which apparently has the capabililty to stabilize energy and turn negative energy into positive energy. You can read more about what he uses orgone for at worldwithoutparasites.com. I know some people aren't ready for the different techniques he uses, that's a personal thing. But it rang true to me. There's also more info on he and his wife at http://educate-yourself.org/dc/. And like I said, to some people, some of the stuff will be way out there, but to others it will be spot on. But I digress....
Getting back to the zapper, the mucas in my bm's is dramatically less, no more drooling, the whites of my eyes have become much more clear, my skin is looking good (I'm going thru an unusual breakout period right now, but I think that's a result of my starting to wear the zapper overnight--and those breakouts are healing much faster than normal), and I'm feeling pretty good in general. I think it's a definite winner. If you read thru all of Don Croft's material, you'll even see where it's curing AIDS in Africa. Very interesing info, at least to me.
So it was the right route for me and I'm definitely glad that I was pointed in this direction. Whether or not it's right for you or anyone else will be up to you and what feels right.
Happy researching!!

Hi Emma! so sorry I missed your post.
Definitely check for parasites. When diet changes and liver cleansing don't help, you have to check for the baddies. It's the next step. You can try the parasite expulsion test in the FAQ at the very least, then take the herbs from thekitchendoctor.com, and if that helps a zapper would be a good next bet.
Now your liver and bowel cleansing should be VERY thorough. Just flushing is not enough. And you have to do the stomach acid self-test as you have to make sure you're actually digesting and assimilating the vitamins you took.
You didn't list any of your other symptoms so I can't say anything for sure... |

You sound exactly like me. I've also tried parasite expulsion on top of what you have tried and saw no results.
I don't have the anti biotic, accutane background though.
I'm now going through a faze of giving up as I have been doing nothing but breathing health food, supplements, cleanses for about a year and seen zero results what so ever. Totally alienated myself doing all of this too
I guess I'll have to get back on track at some point, I just don't know what to try anymore.
Think I might have to go live on a tropical island, if the the sun, heat and nothing but a pure diet of what I can get off trees cant detoxify and fix my skin, I'll just drift out to sea and drown, lol, as I just can't be arsed with it any more! |

| unfortunately when you've tried everything and nothing works, the only thing you can do is the single-carb diet, which is a real pain in the patootie! and rotation/elimination diet. That plus a live blood cell analysis and hair analysis should get you on the right track, if a physical turns up nothing out of the ordinary. |
