I have been taking a shot of ACV in a shot of water at night before going to bed, to help with my morning allergies/asthma. It's been pretty hit or miss. No healing crisis with it, but it was helping my asthma some. The other day I got a nasty headache that gets better and worse but doesn't go away. It's one-sided, but also at times throbs/pulses (like when I get up and move around) and sometimes it moves to the front or other side (but is mainly on the one side). It's not hot to the touch, and once in a great while I feel the tiniest bit nauseus - so it doesn't really fall into any one of the categories in the headache management FAQs. The only thing that I've done differently is (a few days ago, can't remember if it was the same day the headache came on or the day before) I upped my ACV dosage to try to help with acid reflux. I started taking one more dose during the day. I have since stopped the extra dose and I still have the headache. This is the end of day two of the headache. I haven't taken/done anything for the headache because I don't know what's causing it. Could it be a cleansing effect due to the extra ACV? Could that extra dose be putting things out of whack in my body? The thing is, if I knew it was a healing crisis, I'd keep at it. But if it's messing with me, I don't want to continue.

I know a lot of you have been cleansing a lot longer than I have, so if any of you have had this happen, or know what this is, I'd love your feedback!

IMO, I would back off on the acv and just drink plain water and maybe add some magn., but definitly just plain water for now to flush everything out.

I have been dealing with a cold or hay fever have no clue which one it is, but I have sinus issues. Today I had such a headache (my neck muscles where so tight this is what was giving me the headache) that it made me nauseous, anyway, I took 2 ibprof. Sad yes i gave in and i also took a oxypowder and laid down. Well i slept really good and headache was gone and so was most of the tension, but i do have the sinus stuff, stuffed up nose but the headache is gone. Every time i take oxypowder it makes me fall asleep and really relaxed and sometimes makes me sweat which is good for ya and me cause it takes alot for me to sweat.

Anyway, if you are in extreme pain then take the ibpro. sometimes you have to give in to the other stuff, but that is IMO.

that's true, I didn't note the hot-feeling shifty headaches in the FAQ. They are often hormonal-based migraines, and not much works for them except potassium management (ACV is very rich in potassium so you could be overdosing and need salts to balance them in which case baking soda would be a good way to go) and strong pharmeceuticals. Or they're due to food additives like nitrites, which also mess with hormones, but in that case potassium usually helps instead of hurts. I go with orange juice then to help the liver de-activate the additives.

I also suspect that I might be overdosing on ACV. I have especially noticed that my tongue starts to turn pink and it tends to show red spots near the tip after taking in a tablespoon or two. Could this be some sort of good sign, or does it indicate that I should be cutting back on it?

Cutting back. red tongue at the tip usually indicates an overabundance of stomach acids, heartburn.

IF ever you run into the trouble of too much stomach acids, then the best cure is roughly half a teaspoon of baking soda in a small glass of warm water.

Well, I know the headache was not caused by the ACV. I got another headache yesterday. Same as last time - started on one side, affected ears and jaw sometimes, moved to other side. Still battling it. I do believe it has something to do with what I'm eating. This time I'm sure it was the mcdonalds breakfast (was visiting with sister and that's all that was available). I just wish I knew what started it the last time. it must be from something my body feels is toxic, or doesn't tolerate. I even took Natural Calm last night thinking that it might have something to do with magnesium deficiency, but it didn't really help. These headaches usually last 3 days and all I've found so far is to just let it run it's course. It really sucks!
