If I have carrot/spinach juice for lunch, can I have other food with it? The juice alone is not enough for me. I usually do my flaxseed first, then carrot juice. What is the difference if I wait to eat rice and beans, or have it with my juice?

I tend to drink my juice and then eat shortly after. Juice is great before meals as it's packed with enzymes so does help with digesting heavier meals.

Another way to incorporate everything all together and make it a heart meal is to add chopped up carrots and spinach to the rice and beans with a little extra EV olive oil and curry; it's simply delcious !! Smile Very Happy Wink

I have found that when my liver is slugish I feel very tired but if I drink carrot juice with a little milk or cream and 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp of honey I get a HUGE pick me up in energy in just a short time. Which begs the question.. is fatigue often a beta carotene deficiency or is the carrot juice just cleansing the liver and picking up the energy level in turn?
I have found this pattern of drinking carrot juice for energy to be consistently true.

carrot juice is a wonderful source of good sugars that do indeed help the energy levels. And because it does cleanse the liver/bile, it means the liver is that much more able to take care of metabolism - getting energy from calories.
