well, lucky you! I feel kinda worried, that this may not work as well for me though, since Ive had acne- BAD acne for 8 years now, and you only had it for 6 months. That would make since that something like this would work great for you if you all of a sudden just started breaking out. Im desperate right now though, so thats why Im trying this. I hope that I can figure out what to do, and I hope this works really well. So how do I find out about my stomach acids, and if I need more and how to get them? |
Don't worry, the guidelines I posted take care of stomach acids. The lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and B vitamins are key. Just print them out when you have your computer time. And if I forget to put lecithin on the list, add granulated lecithin and try to eat a tablespoon a day.
Your problem is mainly the meals that aren't being exited and a weak liver. Ideally, everything we eat should be eliminated between 24 - 36 hours after swallowing. Whatever isn't eliminated within that time, and whatever ends up staying forever and ever, ends up on our face as acne.
Since your BMs slowed down when you were a kid, there must have been SOMEthing in your childhood that congested your liver. Could have been a combo of a diet full of deep-fried foods, breakfast cereals, and stress like unfair unpunishment, uncertainty, lots of fights, drama, etc. All that goes right to the liver, unfortunately! |
Hey again Shelley
I just posted my grocery list to you. I just wanted to reply to this post cause that makes alot of since. When I was little, I know that we did eat lots of deep fried foods, breakfast cereals all the time, and we were forced to eat what was on our plate. My daddy passed away recently so I want to make it clear that he worked hard to make a balanced meal, and just wanted us to eat the "good stuff" at least at dinner so he sorta forced it on us. I was just very picky. Also, Im VERY sensitive, and worry alot. All the drama as you called it, and different stuff going on, even school made me sick to my stomach every morning cause I was SOO terribly shy and scared. |

| Oh yes, school was a nightmare for me too. The first two years I only went like 2 days out of a week! The other days I pleaded stomach ache, stayed home and read books. Luckily I already knew how to read, so all I had to catch up on was math. I just couldn't handle how MEAN everyone was to each other! Even if it wasn't directed at me I felt hurt for other people. Took me awhile to learn how to distance myself from all that. |

Your health food store should have it, it's gotten quite popular. Hmm.. I thought I had a link or two in the Amazon post?

Dandelion tea, Yogi Tea's Detox or Peach Detox,Peppermint tea, Ginger tea- Do I need all of these? Also I bought some tea from Adagio.com-is that ok to drink also if I feel like it or will it mess up my progress?

You definitely need peppermint, it's good to have ginger on hand for when your tongue gets coated or you get mucus/phlegm, cold/flu.
If you get the Dandelion you don't need either detox tea, but either detox tea has not just dandelion but other good stuff too, so if you have a choice, go for the detox.

Basic Cleansing Salad (whats this consist of?)
|
Salad greens - get those bags they have now, so handy! Organic spring greens are awesome. The other ingredients are onion, garlic, ACV (see below), lemon & olive oil. Olive oil should be cold-pressed, extra-virgin.

Lundberg's Almond flavored Brown Rice Cereal or Quinoa Flakes
Vanila Rice Dream
coconut oil
Digestive Enzymes- Kcal pancreatin
Cleansing Drink ( please add to my list what I need to make this)
|
Organic lemons - get like 6 large ones each shopping trip.
Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar, or Spectrum's. Must be raw, unfiltered, wtih "the mother."
Grade B Maple Syrup or Unsulphured Molasses
Cayenne Tincture
filtered water
| Quote: |
Emergen-C (is this a drink I buy?)
|
It's a packet that dissolves in water to create a kind of fizzy drink. The packets are in long boxes of 24 or 36. Lots of different flavors.
| Quote: |
Detox Bath ( please add to my list what I need for this)
|
Epsom Salts
Ginger TEa or fresh ginger root or an economy-sized ground ginger powder
Baking Soda
Niacin - the regular kind - it shouldn't say "non flush" because that won't work. Try to find 40 or 50 or 60 mg size, if it's more you can always let some out.
Cayenne powder (optional)
| Quote: |
ACV or lemon juice (which is best?)
|
Either - variety is nice.

Broths- what kind am I allowed?
|
Any good, organic ones. Pacific broths in cartons are excellent.

Kefir Protein Shake, Protien shake ( please tell me what I need for these)
Moroccan Chicken Soup
|
Free-range eggs
Granulated Lecithin
A flax-seed oil
Vanilla rice dream - already listed that
Ground ginger
Ground cumin
Paprika- the spicy paprika, not the sweet
Quinoa
2 medium zucchini
1 can of garbanzo beans
1 medium onion - yellow or white
Cilantro
| Quote: |
Good quality chicken- where would I find such a thing??.lol j/k really though?
|
Yep! or don't eat it. You wouldn't believe how bad poor quality chicken is. The chickens never see the light of day. Zacky Farms is the lowest grade I'll buy.

All of these things should be available if the store is any good. many are available at the regular grocery stores.
For spices, it's cheapest to find Asian, Indian or Mexican grocery stores and buy large amounts for like a dollar, rather than those tiny containers for 6 bucks!
Have fun shopping! |

Ok, thanks. Alright, this is whats in the protien shake? I really dont think I can handle that stuff:Ground ginger
Ground cumin
Paprika- the spicy paprika, not the sweet
Quinoa
2 medium zucchini
1 can of garbanzo beans
1 medium onion - yellow or white
Cilantro
Was this for a shake also:
free-range eggs
Granulated Lecithin
A flax-seed oil
Vanilla rice dream? cause I can handle that it sounds like.
Im looking over everything to make sure that I will be able to eat it/drink it. I dont like salad at all actually, but I may be able to handle it. I could never drink that protien shake that has the paprika and stuff. Is that going to be a problem if theres certain things that I dont like? Are there substitutes? I want to make sure that I buy something that I will be able to eat for each meal.. So for breakfast, I have that cereal or rice stuff. What about goat milk? Is that good? (say if I need it for the cereal)
Then lunch and dinner, that morrican chicken soup or good quality chicken and salad is ok, right? Thats the stuff that sounds good to me. Can I have cheese? I like that on my chicken. And about those other teas I bought, I bought red roobius, (sp?) and a few other regular flavored teas, are these ok to drink in addition to the needed teas? |

no no - one part was for the moroccan chicken soup, and one was for the protein shake. The protein shake is vanilla rice dream, eggs, lecithin, oil. Very bland.
The Moroccan chicken soup has the paprika and ground ginger and cumin spices in it, but it's not all that spicy really. Just enough to make it easy to digest.
Other teas should be okay so long as they are not black teas or raspberry. |

Ok, shelley, some things I do not like. Im trying to make at lease 1 meal that I will like for breakfast, lunch and dinner so that I can buy the stuff for just those 3 different meals. To make it simpler for me, will this be okay to do this each day until I can get the hang of it, and then maybe try adding different things? & of course Ill be taking all the different liver cleansing pills/intestinal cleaning pills & digestive enzymes that you suggested:
BREAKFAST:
Quinoa flakes *or* Lundbergs Brown rice cereal & a cup of Detox tea
Mid Morning Snack:
Cleansing Drink and some peppermint tea
LUNCH:
Cleansing Salad & peppermint tea
DINNER:
Protien Shake *or* hormone free chicken & Emergen-C
SNACK before 8pm:
Cleansing Drink
If this isnt ok, then please help me! Im trying to be simple for now since theres so much to learn. I dont like the stuff in the morrican soup and I dont know what kichadi is. I just am trying to figure out a basic meal for breakfast/lunch/dinner that I will like to eat, and also be ok for this diet. |

That will be fine! It's not too imperative to change your diet at this point anyway, mostly just getting rid of those gluten grains is important while you're intestines are so clogged. The main thing is getting rid of all those old meals and having reguler BM's. We can wrok on the diet later.
Kichadi is wonderful stuff. |
