Reminder, Spring Equinox is March 21st this year, so the weekend of the 24th/25th would be a great time to cleanse or liver flush if you haven't done one in awhile.
I must apologize for some very terse and even downright bitchy posts in the past few weeks. My kidney doctor prescribed me a new prescription for the secondary hypertension that is unavoidable when the kidneys are only partially functioning. She told me that it would cause dry mouth and that's it, so I didn't even research it before I swallowed it - big mistake and one I've never made before, but I was busy with mid-term progress reports so...
Well, like most hypertensives, it took three weeks to get used to it, and those three weeks were HELL. Total complete hell. I had all the side effects she neglected to mention but others complained of - depression, irritability, extreme fatigue and drowsiness to the point that I was often afraid to drive home. I ended up cutting the dose in half like always.
So everything is okay now, whew. Just another lesson to never do what a doctor tells you blindly.

Hey Shelley I was one of your victims, but after a few days I thought that wasn't you, plus I was stressing too.
Why didn't you try natural alternatives, unless you did and nothing happened. What kind of kidney problem is it. Are you feeling better now. Sounds like you had a sucky time with the meds.
Hope you are feeling better. Let us know how you are doing, cause you need to let things out. We are all telling you our problems. It is good to talk to others especially when you don't see them face to face, cause you can let it out without feeling weird. |

| Unfortunately, when it comes to genetics or permanent damage, there are no natural remedies to come to the rescue, there's just management. Kidneys don't regenerate and mine were hosed by a combo of genetics, toxins and inflammation from an abcessed tooth I couldn't afford to deal with. On the plus side is it teaches me tons about how the body works, diet and pH balancing because I feel the effects of food/supplements immediately. |
