What's best remedy for a cough ?

I read this and was wondering what u thought incase u have a better solution ?
Relieve a cough.
Mix one-half cup Apple Cider Vinegar, one-half cup water, one-teaspoon cayenne pepper, and four teaspoons honey.
Take one tablespoon when cough acts up. Take another tablespoon at bedtime.

It depends on what kind of cough it is. There are dry coughs, which need something more soothing. That recipe is great for wet, mucous coughs.
