Cluster Headaches

Unfortunately, my friends cluster headaches have returned. I feel horribly for him and the incredible pain they're causing. Drs say its one of the most intense and horrible pains you can feel. But they have no solution...

Does anyone have any advice on a cause and treatment?

There has been some alternative alternative suggestion that mushrooms of the magic variety are quite successful, especially in my reading, although obviously studies cant condone their use, no matter how much they help people suffering these incredible episodes of agony

I think I may recall Shelley saying something about oils and EFAs? Though I may be inventing that, as I cant find it on the search function.

Cluster headaches can be either hormonal (if accompanied by light sensitivity and nausea it's hormonal) or mineral. They should take a good supplement of calcium and magnesium (preferably Cal-Mag Fizz or similar) and see if it helps.

The best prescription medicine for hormonal migraines is by far Maxalt. Have they tried that yet? It's the only thing I've found that works without nasty side effects.
