Hey Shelley and all!
I think im going to get a 'gut permeability profile' from here http://www.biolab.co.uk/gut.html as long as I can find a willing medical professional to request it for me (not sure what my Dr will say! )
Do you think this test will be accurate enough to determine whether LG is a problem in my case?
The issue Im having is that there are so many possibilities and no definitive diagnosis, I know its £40 but I'd honestly rather pay and be assured that LG isnt an issue in my case, as long as its a reliable test. And Im getting a tax rebate soon, which will more than cover it.
Thanks! |

Leaky gut is very easy to detect. They give you something that should not end up in the bloodstream. If it ends up in the bloodstream they know you have gut permeability.
I see no real point in having an actual test, however, since symptoms are so very clear and it's a pretty safe assumption. The only real question is whether it's caused by candida or celiac disease, and both those questions can be answered by managing your diet. |
