Hello everyone! Hope you're all feeling better and better as your body gets cleaner.
If you haven't been cleansing, now is a good time for a short fast, what with holiday excess approaching! If you celebrate Thanksgiving, DO get a healthy turkey (avoid ham) by special ordering from a good grocery store. There are several brands of turkeys that are not overly genetically tampered with and hormone-free.
The traditional turkey dinner is actually very healthy, just don't stuff yourself! Avoid the breads and stuffing - not much nutritional value there - and save dessert for breakfast the next day. At our house we don't do stuffing, we do a dressing instead, made with wild rice, mushies and chestnuts. YUM!
We're thinking of publishing e-books instead of printed hard copies. I'm not sure, though. I find I like holding an actual, published book, when I'm learning something or planning on cooking something. What do you all think? Would you rather have printed manuals or is an electronic version that you have to print yourself okay? The advantage of e-publishing is no packing and shipping, no printing costs, but as far as I can see that's the ONLY advantage. Your opinions are valued, so let us know!
Take care, everyone!

The advantage of having it in hand you can take it anywhere you go (bedroom, friend, family, work, bathroom) places where you can't get to a computer or talk amoung other people face to face. With a computer you would all be looking at your own screen with not much interaction. If you had one computer with two or more people looking at it it is uncomfortable. I think you know what I mean here. Having it in your hand is just more comfortable.
Thank you and God Bless

Oh books! Brilliant!
Im horribly indecisive, reading a book, having it in your hand, being able to add notes and read on the bus/train/sofa is excellent!
But the portability of eBooks and the ease of access (like you say, no shipping!). But I wonder what if the book was to proliferate illegally across the health internet?
Damn! Can I vote for both
I think, because its you I'd much rather the book. How wonderful will it feel to hold it in your hand, reading just isnt the same when you do it from a screen! |

The e-book is better than no book.
Nah, Shelley, what we can do is release ebooks that are chapters from the hard printed book to come. So loyal community gets the benefit of seeing it before it gets published and it also represents another motivational push for a HARD COPY for you. I hope this makes sense
For the distribution over the net, that doesnt have to be such a bad idea. First of all, free marketing for the print book (everybody likes to have a hard copy to take it anywhere) and majority of people reading chapters (e-books) would like to have it and keep it. As far as security goes, we'll do everything we can do keep it unbreakable. It will also bring great mass attention to the site as well as to Shelley as an author.(which she deserves). I think it's a win-win situation.
Cheers. D. |

I agree with Dragan...better an e-book than no book and if chapters are released online, interest should be raised. The web is great because of its interactive and immediate nature, but I love my books.
Count me in if you need some editing help.
Laura <--- very much looking forward to Shelley's book! |
