From the makers of Dannon yogurt comes a new probiotic drink! It's called DanActive and it's fantastic. Stores don't tend to stock it, but you can have them order it for you. It's not expensive and comes in convenient single-serving sizes. I take one to work with me every now and again.

Here's a link:

Doesn't it contain sugar?? What do you think about Dannon products Shelley? They are very popular in Poland.

You can find them at Whole Foods Stores.
The best one in my opinion is plain. I have been using them for a year, and haven't had any cold.
The flavor ones contain modified corn starch

I've been curious to try this product, but only glanced at the probiotic strains, seeing that it contained L. casei. Then, I read online about the product to see the the casei strain used in this product is different. I might have to give it a try. From the website Q&A:

There are many L. casei culture strains, some already present in human intestinal flora. First identified in 1919, L. casei strains are used in a number of dairy products worldwide. The L. casei Immunitas™ culture in DanActive is a proprietary strain that can only be found in Dannon's DanActive. This strain was selected by Danone Vitapole, Danone's international research center. The L. casei Immunitas™ culture was chosen for its probiotic characteristics and its beneficial effect. Multiple clinical studies have proven that DanActive with L. casei Immunitas™ can help strengthen your body's defenses.

For those who want to get sufficient probiotics into their system, but can't have dairy, I recommend Beta-Glucan by BioImmersion, Inc. It is quite powerful. I rotate between that and BioK often, which also has a version made from soy milk (very small quantities) for those who don't drink dairy.

I'll have to give this DanActive a try to see how L. casei Immunitas™ works
