The by-products of protein digestion include Uric Acid and an increase of phosphates and phosphorous. This combo means we're more toxic and acidic, which requires more B vitamins in order to fully break down and exit them from our bodies. If we have insufficient B vits to do this task, the higher levels of uric acid (or urea) will impair the formation of white blood cells.

When the body has too many immature white blood cells, the normal immune response goes awry. Instead of having easy-to-exit "dead soldiers" (white blood cells kill pathogenic bacteria and die in the process which must then be cleansed) we end up with a thick pus that manifests as whiteheads. This is why antibiotics and antibiotic wipes don't cure the problem, they only help the body to manage the problem better. The origin of the problem remains.

It's important to get enough protein for our needs but no more than that. A slice or two of chicken breast at one meal for instance, rather than the whole chicken breast - for both lunch and dinner - as some people do! We all need to have vegetarian days occasionally.

How does this apply to a metabolic protein type, blood type 0, Shelley?

I don't do well on grains or dairy and stuggle to eat enough calories as it is.

It means that we Type O meat eaters should take care to take one B vitamin supplement at least once a week regularly, NYF a couple times a week, and get the RDA of Folic Acid every day.
