G'Day...
As you have probably worked out, Steve Irwin's death has hit me hard personally... I am not alone... many are hurting. I live about 15 minutes from the Irwin’s and their Zoo and have worked with them on numerous occasions.
I found it fitting (as Steve was a keen surfer) that local surfers (including my family) and employees from the Croc Hunter Zoo swam out to sea today, formed a huge circle and laid flowers in the ocean with a minutes silence in honor of Steve Irwin.
I thought I would share this photo with you all... as it was a beautiful experience. There was also a blessing for the whales nearby for their travels through Asian waters where they are most often hunted and slaughtered.
Today was emotional but very special.

Thanks Alien.
Many people around the world mourned the great guy, without ever knowing him, other than from the shows. I can't imagine the pain and sorrow of friends and people who knew him. He was one of a kind
RIP Crickey! |
