If you're not quite ready to hit the gym but want to feel some sense of accomplishment, some sense that effort is being made to ensure you don't lose all your muscle and bone mass, then here are a few tips...
If you enjoy shopping, leave the credit cards in the car and walk around the mall at a brisk pace. Literally window shop - don't go in until you've walked the entire perimeter, upstairs and downstairs.
No matter what errand you are running, park the farthest out you can - so long as there's good lighting.
Practice pirouettes on the kitchen floor, or just spin with your arms straight out
To keep your metabolism burning fat, breathe as fast and hard as you can through only your nose. Just sit on your legs, rest your hands on your knees, and start breathing for five whole minutes. This is actually very hard to do and sends all kinds of signals to the body that maximize the benefits.
Right before you go to bed, do something like jumping jacks or jump rope or ... to raise your heart rate 10%.
Do chair stretches while at work.
Teach yourself to juggle, moonwalk, have a cartwheel contest - whoever keeps their legs the straightest wins. |

Hi Shelley,
Hey, thanks for these quick pick me ups! This is good!
These are easy enough for all.......even me!....LOL............
Hey Shelly, can you tell me what kind of exercise or whatever
would be good for a double chin? Now, I've tried them all!
the stretching ones, sleeping with my head laying tiled back,
the skin tightening creams......all of it........NOTHING!
I still have a really bad double chin......and it seems that no matter
what I do.......it won't get any better!! It looks awful!
H E L P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks again Shelley.....................starlight |

Hi Starlight!
Recently I was talking to someone who does facial exercises for about 10 mins every day and she feels they have kept her face young and toned. She's been doing them for about 5 years and though she can't say for sure what she would have looked like without doing them but she's convinced they've made a difference. I don't know what the exercises are so do a google or maybe Amazon has a book on them.
Good luck!

FAcial exercises are WONderful. I rented a video tape done by an actress many years ago, maybe that's still available.
What you want to do most of all tho, whenever there is a deposit of fats that is out of proportion with the rest of your body so that it is definitely a deposit and not just being overweight, is to increase circulation and metabolism of that affected area.
The best way to do that is to use castor oil packs. Raymond told a wonderful story about how his wife lost her protruding stomach that way. The tissues had stretched and lost their elasticity after childbirth, but one night of leaving the castor oil pack on got rid of it!
so definitely look into doing that with your neck. I bet it will feel wonderful too. massage is also a good thing. Get one of those neck massagers and use it every day. Be sure to drink the Cleansing Drink too. |

Hi all,
Thank you both for getting back to me.....O.K., first, I am overweight Shelley, but not INCREDIBLY...I should loose about 30 lbs., LOL......but, even still, this double chin thing has always given me a problem. When I was younger, I was thinner, (average weight for me...I'm 5'7,) - but I always had a tendency towards that chin thing!!!!!!! It was nevr like this though, never this bad! It got like this about 4 yrs. ago....and just won't go away.
Like I said, i've tried so many things.......I was even tempted to by that "wrap" thingy for $54.00 where you wrap up your chin and throat area at night with this special cream stuff they give you, and supposedly it's gone in the morning......something to do with herbs or whatever. But, I had enough sence to not do it........LOL.......it was tempting however!
Now, I had heard that any excess fat can be minimized by doing muscle excercizes....because, supposedly, if you get your muscles in shape (or something like this...) the muscles burn off fat??????? Sound familiar? I do exercise as much as I can, I do fairly vigorus ones......but my heart starts to pound so hard, and skip beats.......so, I slow down.
I'm going to go to Amazon and see what they have for exercizes........but I'm also going to go ahead and get a castor oil pack.....where do you get those? It won't have any bad side effects if I place this DIRECTLEY under my chin, on both sides, you know, where the lymph nodes are?...........doesn't that castor oil seep into your skin, or what? Listen, can I put that anywhere?....LOL.....I mean, like say, my hips? I have a problem there too!
O.K., Shelley......thanks once again!.......Sincerely Starlight |

Yep, the castor oil pack can be used anywhere. We mostly use it over the abdomen to ease liver/gallbladder discomfort and aid the cleanse.
You can make up your own, just buy castor oil and a length of cotton or wool flannel. Use a sheet of plastic in between the cloth and the heating pad.
OR you can buy a handy-dandy setup from The Heritage Store, which is:

and be sure to do other lymph and kidney management too. |
