Everyone needs at least one good soap and one good mild cleanser, like a milky white one.
Use the soap one as-is whenever the face is oily before doing anything else. Soap is the first step.
Use the mild cleanser whenever you aren't really oily, but are more dry.
Add about a teaspoon of baking soda to your mild cleanser if you have blackheads or rough skin and need to exfolliate.
Use a good clay mask about once a week at least - Queen Helene's Mint Julep is fantastic. I also like Freeman's Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Mask, but I find that it will cause breakouts because I just can't handle a lot of oils.
If you have infectious type eruptions (white heads with lots of pus) then (this is going to seem really weird but ... ) coat your face with honey. Honey, in a concentrated form, will kill all molds and yeasties. This is why honey and jams don't need to be refrigerated and can be stored for long periods of time. Concentrated carbs kill the baddies.
If you don't like working with honey, use apple cider vinegar but dilute it in water or better yet, mix it in with turmeric and powdered ginger. The combo of ACV, Turmeric and Ginger will open the pores and disinfect what's inside. Very powerful. It will sting!!! If your skin is too sensitive for this, just make a water-based paste of turmeric and ginger and leave on for about 10-20 minutes.
If your skin tends to be dry mix the ACV with avocado.
Fruit Mask (fruit enzymes will exfolliate quite nicely)
Mash or blend a papaya (peel and remove seeds first). If you can't find papayas, then use a banana.
Add a squeeze of lemon.
Scramble one egg and whisk in that too - by hand, not in the blender.
Apply to clean face and neck and leave on for 10-20 minutes. You might want to do this in the shower/bath because it gets pretty messy!
TAke off with cloth and rinse with lukewarm water and protect skin with a tiny bit of oil (three drops of baby oil, or jojoba, or almond) diluted with water. I like to just leave my face wet and smear on a drop of oil at a time.
Yogurt-Honey Mask
Hydrates dry skin without clogging. Mix about one tablespoon of yogurt with one tablespoon of honey. It is safe to use on eruptions too. That simple!
Honey-Almond Scrub
You can find store-bought versions of this cheap at the drugstore, but fresh is a really nice treat every now and again.
Get some almond meal OR soak about 1/2 cup of almonds in water overnight, or all day for use that night. You need about 3-4 tablespoons of ground almond flour. It can be somewhat coarse.
Put into a shaker jar with a couple tablespoons of any good oil, preferably jojoba or olive or almond.
Add a pinch of lecithin granules and about a tablespoon of water. Stir and shake until you get the paste to the consistency that is easy to spread. Scrub for awhile then leave on for a few minutes for best results.
Optional: add about 5 drops of peppermint extract, or use strong peppermint tea instead of plain water. Cools and soothes the skin.
These are my faves but you can find more options if you Google "natural skin care recipes." |

The skin creams that claim to help scars heal really do help with the red marks. Or you can make up your own homemade version out of salt - dissolve baking soda and regular salt in a small amount of water and pat onto face. Then follow, without rinsing, with a Wheat Germ Oil and Clay masque. You can use bentonite or pascalite or any healing clay.
Healing clays really do help the skin heal faster. I like Queen Helene's Mint Masque, just five bucks at the drugstore or grocery store, if you don't have any other clay on hand. |

Hi Shelley ... Hope u're well ?
I'm drinking a cup of Peppermint tea as I write this ...
It makes me sweat a little !!!
hehehe
INDEED, I have read that Wheat germ oil is EXCELLENT to fade redness in severe scars ... Aloe Vera reduces scars,
Sandalwood regenerates skin and Castor oil draws out toxins, softens and helps removes scars ...
I personally use Copper Peptides
Hope I got all this info correct, hence ... anybody reading this please check it out with SHELLEY FIRST.
Cheers |

i'm not expert, but i'm been using dead sea salt in a spray bottle and spray my face after i wash it, let it dry, then rinse off.
seems to exfoliate fairly well and no major breakouts have happened since i started using it(about three weeks ago) |

| You don't need much, just a 10% solution, or rounded teaspoon per glass, should do it. Salt is wonderful for purifying and balancing the pH of the skin. Sea salt and baking soda combined will work wonders. |
