Hello. I know that during the winter we tend to spend more time inside, and I was wondering if there are any full spectrum lights/bulbs that you recommend.

As long as they are flourescent tubes, they should be fine, so buy whatever suits your budget. What is most available right now on the websites aren't all that great - they are simple torches with a special curled up bulb so it takes up less room. But because of how the heads/lamps are shaped, they only give off a little bit of light on a very focused area.

This is one I tried and returned:

What I had before my room redecoration was a straight, 4' long flourescent tube from Viko which I can't find online, they must have gone out of business since then. Sad I mounted it on my wall and it gave off a really bright, gorgeous light.

If I find a good source I will be sure to post about it. If you find one let me know.

This is like what I had and what I'll be getting next, except there's no ficture for the bulb which is bad:

Well, your desk will have a great light, but your body won't get much benefit. Wink

I bought some of those natural spectrum light bulbs for every light in my house a couple weeks ago, I think it was toolsforwellness.com. It feels like it's improved my mood. They have special tinted ones for the bathroom and bedroom that have a prettier glow for the skin and better lighting for when you put make up on in the bathroom. I like coming home at night now, the lighting looks just softer and cheerier in my house.
