My family eats alot of grilled food in the summertime, Like 2-3 times a week.
I love grilled food, and i would love to make myself some grilled salmon. but I don't know if it's a good way to heat/cook food?

What is the best way to grill food? what type of grill? gas grill? charcoal? wood?

I can imagine that the lightingfluid used to get the charcoal going is not the best thing for our bodies?

The only bad thing that happens with grilling is that animal fats will become somewhat toxic, but this is easily remedied by eating vegetables with the meat. Vegetables have antioxidants and other natural chemicals that cure the problem.

Salmon is wonderful grilled.

If you don't want the charcoal effect, then wrap things in foil, add a bit of lemon and onion and other herbs to infuse them, and a little bit of oil and water. Seal the foil packet tightly, put on the grill, close the lid and let it steam! Smile

mmm... i could go for some of that right now....
I often invite my friends to grill at our summerhouse, but now that I am a healthnut i have to offer some good alternates to the porkchops and the chickenburgers! Wink

Try grilling portobello mushrooms... top them with a salad caprese... yummy!

You can also grill all kinds of salad greens and herbs for a really exciting warm/wilted salad. I like combining romaine, fennel, radicchio, red onions and red bell peppers. Slice heads in quarters or eighths and grill - the carmelization makes one exciting salad!!!

Just grilled endive brushed with olive oil last night, spectacular! Also, cedar/oak (wood) planks impart a nice flavor to fish while keeping it from burning/falling through the grill.
