I posted this message in another section but thought it should be here also...

I purchased this book a few months ago when I was so sick with Candida I was admitted to hospital (and they did little to help me). This book is an amazing read and really opens the eyes of people who do not accept 'the truth' easily. There is some good reading on the author’s web site which is listed at the end of this post.

Take Control of Your Health and Escape the Sickness Industry
by Elaine Hollingsworth

HOW TO...
Sail through menopause, drug-free

Prevent/reverse osteoporosis

Substitute safe remedies for dangerous HRT

Banish brain fog

Avoid food and beverages that cause bones to dissolve

Determine which foods and which minerals build bone mass

Get a mineral from overseas that halts 40-50% of calcium loss, is scarce in our depleted soil and is not available in Australia

Get from overseas the only progesterone that is effective, does not contain preservatives, and costs less than A$15 per month

Get a Peruvian root vegetable that has been used for 10,000 years to promote bone growth and make menopause easy, and costs less that A$15 per month

Avoid/reverse all female (and male) complaints without drugs

Prevent breast cancer

Prevent/reverse impotence and prostate illnesses

Avoid a commonly prescribed drug that creates severe spinal degeneration, even in the young

Use simple, natural remedies for many common ailments

YOU WILL LEARN WHY...
Milk and calcium tablets do not promote strong bones and can cause serious health problems

All soya bean products, especially soya milk, leach calcium from bones and create havoc in the body

Prostatic specific antigen (PSA) test can be hazardous to your health

Widely-advertised menopausal 'aids' can be useless and/or harmful

Osteoporosis drugs are dangerous and counterproductive

Cholesterol hysteria is based on propaganda

Polyunsaturated oils contribute to heart disease

Olive oil and coconut oil are healthful

Mammograms don't cure cancer, in fact contribute to cancer

A commonly used food additive is so poisonous that it aggravates/causes the following
Episodic Violence
Obesity
Birth Defects
Parkinson's Disease
Liver Disease
Cancer
Migraines
Brain Tumours
Vertigo
AIDS Dementia
Multiple Sclerosis
Epilepsy
Endocrine Disorders
Fibromyalgia
Asthma
Neurological Disorders
Depression
PMS
Alzheimer's Disease
Epstein-Barr Virus
Diabetes
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Memory loss
Nausea

Thank you for the book list Shelley! That looks like an interesting book too alien. Smile

Can anyone recommend more cookbooks? Especially Ayurvedic cookbooks? I seem to be responding well to Pungent Therapy, and I love Indian spices, I go in to a trance when I cook with them. Razz

I get overwhelmed when I look at Ayurvedic/Indian cookbooks online, I'm afraid they will call for exotic ingredients and spices that aren't available to me without a lot of hassle (I have access to um, 'grocery store' spices, I live way out in the country and go into the city about once a month.)

I finally purchased this book yesterday and it is superb!

THE CHEMICAL MAZE continues to be the book of choice when it comes to providing consumers with easily understood information on the potential health effects of food additives and ingredients in cosmetics and personal care products.

There is some great links with information too.

One book that has really helped me is http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1556434308/qid=1137877745/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-0601601-7529401?n=507846&s=books&v=glance. It is a good Westerner's guide to Chinese Medicine.

I've followed the Candida diet plan from the book. It closely resembles Shelley's plan. He also includes other important techniques such as liver flushing and organ balancing. Also good sections on meal combining. The book essentially covers how to heal and get nutrients from whole foods instead of various questionable supplements. Good to take it with other materials.
