| So many advisers say that nuts are hard on the liver. What does this mean? How are nuts hard on the liver? Thanks! |

I read somewhere in the forum that soaking Nuts overnight helps alot with digestability.

Goodness, who says that?
Nuts are highly concentrated foods, and complex foods are tougher to digest - require more work - but soaking and grinding takes care of that.  |

Well surely this can only be relevant if these "advisers" are talking about nuts that have been roasted/fried in hydrogenated vegetable oil such as cashews or peanuts. Otherwise raw nuts like almonds, brazil nuts and pecan nuts are top notch for your health; they are full of great omega oils amongst other nutrients. |

why are roasted nuts bad? they taste much better then raw ones
and how come soaking them helps with digestibility? |
