Hi Shelley,
I am wanting to try your morning oil cocktail flush for my first liver flush, but have a couple of questions about it and am hoping you can help! I understand the need to follow a proper diet during the flush, but I'm wondering how awful it would be if once during the 1st week, I had a "fancy" dinner with some wine, and then once during the 2nd week, I did the same. There are planned dinners during those two weeks that I must attend, and to not partake in the food and wine would be strange since I work at a winery and am there as a representative. Would this completely ruin my flush? Make me sick? Etc?
Also, can I drink a fiber drink during the second week right after I take the oil cocktail, then follow with the cleansing drink? Or should I wait to take my fiber drink (just water and mixture of powdered psyllium) until at least an hour after the oil cocktail?
I think that was it. Thanks so much for this web site, I love it. |

Shelley is not around anymore unfortunately... but maybe I can help.
I don't think the dinners will be a big deal. What kind of food will you be eating? If I were you, I would just make sure not to OVEReat. If you eat too much, you won't be able to digest it well, and you really need to have good digestion when doing the morning oil cocktail, so that everything gets exited quickly.
You need to take the cleansing drink RIGHT after the oil, or with it. The lemon juice/ACV and oil really need to be together. Then you should wait 30-60 minutes to have a fiber shake.
Hope that helps. |

Hi,
Thanks for the response...what happened to Shelley??!! If I may ask...
It's hard to say what kind of dinners, probably rich dinners with meat, potatoes, butter, carbs, fat, all the good stuff I've been wanting to do this slow cleanse forever, but it seems there is always SOMETHING that gets in the way (an event, birthday, etc). I feel bound and determined and don't want to keep putting it off. During the week I am very strict, but the weekends always have something going on where it's hard to be strict.
Thanks for the information about the fiber shake. I will wait to take it until 30-60 minutes after the cocktail. |

Hi novice nice to meet you.
Shelley is off pursuing other avenues of interest that require her focus and energy.
I think participating in the events and foods is fine if done in reasonable quantities.
It won't ruin your progress.
Enjoy. |

| Does the morning cocktail get stones out? Do they just start coming out after a week or so? Just curious. |

It really does get stones out if you take enough stone dissolvers. But it's really important for your bowels to be working perfectly if you do this instead of the overnight flush. I tried it -- I took GCG for a few days, and then started the morning oil thing -- but I wasn't eliminating very well (for various reasons) at the time, so then my skin got pretty bad... I broke out on my forehead for the first time in ages. I think that the overnight flush is the best way to go unless you never have any constipation/digestion issues whatsoever. |

Thanks for the reply. I will be moderate during my two dinners. And thanks for the info about the overnight flush being the best way to go. My bowels are working very well, I've been doing the Colonix program for 30 days now, and have another 30 days to go. So I'm eliminating well.
Wish me luck! |

Hey Novice,
How is the colonix going for you? I have been doing my own protocol for bowel cleansing, but if I don't start getting out the mucoid plaque, I may spring for the colonix. |

Hi cjb,
I like the Colonix program for the most part. I tried it for the first time about a year + ago, and I think I might have passed some mucoid plaque about 6 weeks in. During that time, I was eating VERY lightly and drinking tons of water, and I think that's what helped. This is my 3rd time using colonix for bowel management, and the trick is to drink LOTS of water, probably at least 100 oz/day, and try your best to eat right during it. This helps keep everything moving through you and helps in passing lots. I did notice that after my 2 months the first time, I seemed to have a lot of trouble w/ digestion, and I attributed it to not taking any beneficial flora during the cleanse. Seeemed to have cleansed myself of all my good bacteria too. So I recommend taking a probiotic while doing Colonix. Overall, I like the program and it's easy for my busy lifestyle. |

Thanks, Novice.
I am beginning to think that fasting/eating extremely lightly might be the key as well. I have been eating well, but despite taking gentle laxatives, am somewhat "backed up" and bloated and gassy. |

cjb-Have you tried taking digestive enzymes w/ meals, or any probiotics too? I have found they help w/ my digestion.
But yes, on the Colonix program I've had the most luck when I drink a ton of water every day, at least 100 oz. and also eat lightly for the most part. Because they recommend doing the program for 2 months, it's hard to eat lightly for that long. So maybe try eating very lightly just for one week. That's when I noticed I got the most out, when I had little food to digest and lots of water to flush through. |
