I just came across this web site and want you all to take a look at this and do something about it.
I don't know if you are familiar with the J. Crew fashion line or not, but I please urge you to think twice about wearing his clothes or someone else's that uses animal fur.
This is just crazy; I don't understand why someone would wear animal skin on them. The video clearly shows the process of getting that fur. I mean what kind of sick person you have to be, to peal off the poor cat or dog skin while they're STILL ALIVE?!?! GOSHHH????
Please people let's do something about this. Here where I live we don't have J.Crew clothing line, but, all of you that are familiar with this, please take some time and do something to help this poor animals.
I'm a big animal lover and this is just unbearable. Even if I wouldn't be animal right activist I don't think I could do something like this. IT’S JUST SICK!
Here is the site to go to:

Check out the videos!

That video was horrific.
I could only bear to watch approximately half of it.
I will not be purchasing any of their products. |

Yeah, that was pretty graphic. J. Crew is really horrid. I have never nor ever will purchase from J. Crew.
One company that I do really like, if anyone is interested, is American Apparel. It is sweatshop free, only cotton or hemp, and might be a little more expensive but I can feel okay about shopping there. |

| I really feel 'anger' when I see such things regarding animal abuse. I am not alone, many do, in fact, the vast majority of people do. Makes on wonder how companies such as J Crew stay in business? |

Exactly, but as long as we are silent about this, they will stay on the market.
I just can't stand something like this. Probably most of those people in China wouldn't do that if the government could get them proper job. Dunno! It's just that my mind can't accept that normal human being is capable of doing something like that.

Got this email today from PETA...... People for Ethical Treatment of Animals and it seems like everyones hard work has paid off.
This is what it said:
PETA Declares Victory as Retail Giant J.Crew Yanks Fur From Its Racks
For 11 weeks, PETA supporters have hammered retailer J.Crew with demonstrations, letters, and phone calls, demanding that the chain stop selling fur. This pressure paid off on November 30, when J.Crew confirmed that it will pull fur from its stores and never sell it again. Most fur sold in the United States comes from China, where investigators found that fur farmers swing animals by their hind legs and smash their heads on the ground—breaking the animals’ necks or backs but leaving them panting, blinking, and conscious as they are skinned alive. So this is a huge victory for animals throughout the world, and we hope that you will celebrate with us!
For more information, please visit FurIsDead.com.
Please help us continue to win victories for animals.
Just thought I'd share the good news with everyone!

Wohoooooo this is sooooo great, now I can go to sleep
Recently they made here big demonstrations as part of the campaign for one of the "big brand" here - Castro. I'm sure not buying anything from them.
Oh I'm just sooo happy, thanks for sharing this with us Clare. |

I saw Ivanna's original post, and made sure I sent that link on to all of my friends, many who are very high level executives in fortune 500 companies and many of them women who pride themselves on their fashion sense.
The outpouring of anger, disgust and repulsion prompted many of them to write to J.Crew denoucing their morals and products.
I cannot tell you the level of horror and disbelief as I and many others watched that video. I honestly have to say that I couldnt even get past the begining portion where they were throwing the cages off the trucks. All I could see was my little cats in there........ the outrage and disgust were just rampant. I was crying.
I am so glad to see that they will stop using fur - I just wish that so many animals lives hadn't gone in vain for clothes that will now sit in wear houses. |
