Afi it's so nice to meat you Very Happy, welcome once again.

So you work in animal shelter, that is so nice of you. I recently posted one post in this forum, here is the link http://www.askshelley.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2804, and would ask you to spread the word around if you can.

Have you seen "Our furred and feathered companions" forum. You could post us some pictures from the shelter or your pets if you have them. I would really like to see them. Maybe someone will decide to adopt one of them Very Happy

Hi there to one and all,

I'm Myra and I started reading Shelly's site over on Cure Zone last summer (2004). I moved over here with her when she created this board.

I haven't had much time in the way of trying to get the full cleansing happening or writing as often as I would like as I still get very fatigued. I was diagnosed with severe hypothyroidism in Jan 2004 after going from doctor to doctor for almost 2 years trying to find out what was wrong with me. During those 2 years I was misdiagnosed with everything from chronic sinus infections (which I have never had a one in my life) to depression and "just pure laziness" - in reference to the dramatic weight gain I had...but never once would any one ever test me for thyroid difficulties.

Long story short... I finally got diagnosed correctly, but am still symptomatic even though my blood work comes back fine. I am here to learn about cleansing my body and getting it back to "normal" so that I can function on a daily basis.

I'm 37 years (my where does the time go?) and the proud mother of two 1 year old cats. They are my sweet babies and have provided me with tremendous comfort, love and and a lot of humor in the past year. I live in New York and currently work as a Senior Executive Assistant for a Fortune 75 company.

My interests vary from lounding around reading a great book to redecorating my apartment, drawing, sunbathing, and lots of taking care of me.

I'm delighted to be a part of the board, and promise to make much more of an effort to post (now that I have a home computer, that will be much easier to do).

Thanks to all for continuing with the incredible work Shelly has created and know that all my best thoughts are with each and everyone of you.

Happiness,
Myra

Ivana, thanks for the greeting! Very Happy

I actually frequent PETAs website(Im a vegetarian, possibly an aspiring vegan, lol) so I am aware of what the J. Crew company is doing. Its always nice to meet people, like you,who are also concerned and I appreciate the link b/c there are a few friends I would like to send it to.Ever since I went vegetarian I havent bought any clothing made from animals, whether it is done in a 'humane' way or not.Im just not sure if as an individual,Im not saying everyone should feel this way, I need to take from animals in order to survive.Thats where the aspiring vegan thought comes into my mind.I dont know, its not a black and white issue for me.

Anyway,I could talk about this for hours,as you might already be able to tell.I will certainly check out the Furred and Feathered Companions board. If I can 'steal' my brother in laws digital cam I will def. take pics of my dog and some at the shelter if I can.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Afi

Hi I'm Robbie and I am trying to find some type of information about abdominal adhesions. I am in chronic virtually constant pain. This has just recently taken a turn for the worst and now I am missing work because of the problem. I am usually an outgoing very active person. I'm an old lady though, I have 2 freshmen children. One in high school and one in college. I work in retail right now and actually love it!

Hi Robbie nice to meet you Smile

What kind of pain are you experiencing? Is it associated with meal or not? Have you done some bowel cleanse? How would you describe your diet?

The pain is not remotely related to anything I eat. I have pain whether I eat or don't eat. Haven't done a cleanse in several years. I can feel the pulling on my intestines. When I lift something or when I am just laying down I still feel the tugging and pulling sensation which has been attributed to abdominal adhesions pulling on my intestines.

I have tried laying down with a heated rice pillow. The doctors are sending me to a general surgeon for a consult. I'm a bit aprehensive about having that LAP/look around. A surgeon made a mistake while doing this same type of surgery for my mother, removing the adhesions with a laser. I've been trying everything I can to avoid going to the doctor because I am afraid they will tell me that is my only option.

I am asking for any non-narcotic type of pain relief you may suggest. I have been eating a mainly balanced protein diet with lots of complex carbs (veggies) and low simple carbs. I have hypoglycemia so I have to watch my sugar intake. I have been on low fiber, zero fiber, high fiber diet programs with no change in symptoms with any of the different diets. I have done the fluids only and it didn't do anything to alter my pain.

The immediate pain relief that comes to my mind is the retention coffee enema. For detailed info please read my Blog under Forum and in the Personal Online Journals titled My challenge by Propaul.

Being hypoglycemic I presume that you are on a protein diet and eat small meals fairly often. No big meals. Eat only enough fiber to prevent constipation, no more.

You do not mention whether you have constipation or have any other intestinal problems. I don't believe that heat would relieve any pain for you. A cool compress might do better.

You say you're an old lady well I'm young, 79 years young.

Hii everyone =) I am Melanie and like Myra I use to be apart of shelleys forum over at the curezone.(spring-summer 2004)..She changed my life so much and I just loved it. Now that I am back to my cleaning regimine only want to follow the best and the people she has along with her =)

I am 27 years old, 2 kids and am married. I am currently 50 lbs overweight.. Which makes me so mad that I allowed that to happen again. I dropped 50 lbs the first time only to gain it back when a personal issue came up..I need to get back on the right path and I am hoping I can find the support in education and friendships here Smile To be quite honest I am lost on a path I thought I Knew so well. Upon my return to the curezone I have found that everything I did the first time and everything I new to work, there are people there that tell me NO WAY! So I feel like a beginner again and that's why I hope here you all can help me and guide me to what the right way is and give me support, I would love to support all of you and everything you believe in .I am happy to be a part of this forum and hope for great cleansing friends and happy health....Nice to meet you all

Hi MelanieP,

Welcome to the forum. Most of us started with CureZone and graduated to this forum. For that matter I am still active on CureZone but spend much more time here. At present I am in the process of moving homes so things are kind of upset.

I am sure that all our members will be happy to help you with your health and weight loss program. Please look around especially in the FAQ
area. There is a lot of useful info.

Moral support we all need. So don't be shy and ask questions. Once again welcome and make yourself at home.

You will find us around here to be very supportive.
I had a thought why don't you start a blog -journal in the forums here.
It's a great way to keep on track and people can keep up on what you are doing and give encouragement on the journey. Smile
