I was just wondering, seeing as there has been so much damage caused by mercury and other poisons put in vaccines for humans, whether it is such a good idea to give my cats their annual boosters for diseases etc as two of mine are now due. What are people's oppinions on here, and if you are against it do you use any natural alternatives?
Hope everyone is having a good weekend
Thanks and Best Wishes

Hi Clare,
I was wondering the same thing. Here the vet told us that my dogs have to get a shoot for keeping the parasites away, every three months. According to her there is some kind of parasite that feed on the blood of the host, untill exploding and leaving a big mess that can even be fatal for the pet.
I hate to go there every three months, but I just can't take that chance.
Couple of months ago I gave them Clarkia and clean them of parasite, but I am not sure that this is enough for this one?

I don't do vaccines for my pets, nope. I just don't trust them. What I do instead is the Microbial Balancing Program and Solutions from Perelandra. I put the Immune System and Lymphatic System drops in their water. Some people report that this solution even keeps their pups flea-free, but we have lots of cats who are NOT drinking this water, so I still dose them with Advantage every-other month.
I also check with Nature as to whether they have parasites. So far, have had to deal with only one case of tapeworm, for which I used pills that my pet store recommended, and they worked great! |

Hi Ivana and Shelley
Thanks for your replies. I'm glad that I'm not the only one that has had second thoughts about using vaccines. I am definitely going to look in to sourcing the Perelandra if they can ship it to the UK and as far as I'm aware Clarkia is already available in the UK as I was thinking about using that on myself shortly. I have decided not to get the cats boosters done. Esp since last year and this year 2 of my cats became seriously ill with a raging temp and deydration to the point of near collapse within 12 hrs of their jabs. All the vet said was... "Its very unusual!" That put me off them then. I'm sure the cats will be pleased not to have a car journey also!
I also remember reading in the newspaper last year that the innoculations that are for FIV, leukemia etc for pets that are given yearly by pets actually should only be given every FIVE years, and that vets actually are making money off peoples fear and wanting to protect their pets by making us get them vaccinated when their is absolutely no need for it!
Slightly off the subject though, but a while back, we were in our local health food store, when we found a natural pet selection that sold natural remedies including a similar item to the Bach Flower Remedies which had a range of tinctures for different problems for pets. One of our cats Amy is very timid compared to the other boistrous 3, and we found a tincture for shyness, that is completely natural and is just added to food or drinking water. It actually worked and within a couple of days she was approaching us with inquisitiveness instead of running away, so I would definitely reccommend giving a tincture of this kind to a pet if they have a problem like this as they seem to help quite a bit. Just my 2 cents worth anyway!
Anyway hope everyone is well, and rested up. Those of you who celebrated bank holiday weekend this weekend, hope you enjoyed the extra day off!
Take Care All

| Oh yes those herbal/essence tinctures can work very well on animals! My Kimi is very high-strung as her previous owner was a real hag, really mistreated her. So I give her flower essences for stress like sweet bell pepper and she does much better. Animals respond very strongly to energetic treatments as they are born to be in balance, unlike humans who must first choose to be in balance. |
