Hi there Shelley, happy Sunday! This is a great site and you are such a wonderful source of info, as well as the other people on the site!

I just bought Fungal Defense and was wondering if I should've purchased the Primal Defense instead. I do think I have Candida. I also have Spondylitus (sp). I am only 31 but have chronic joint and back pain and my bones constantly crack. I haven't done any other type of cleansing (liver, bowel etc) because it kinda scares me. Anything you can recommend would be great. Also, I just bought some Lily of the Dessert Aloe Vera Juice. It tastes kind of weird and chemically. Is that how its supposed to taste? Embarassed

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Have a great day!

Hi Maria! I'm so glad you like the site. Smile

Fungal Defense is good to take for 2 weeks at a time about every 4 weeks. In between you should take probiotics. That means Primal Defense sometimes, but also more often Kefir, supplements of live acidophilus. Anti-fungals should only be 10% of your protocol, they are not the entire answer at all.

Bowel cleansing doesn't have to be scary at all. Smile The easiest thing for you to do would be to get a good commercial cleanser such as Sonne's Perfect 7 Intestinal Cleanser or Colonix, or Oxy-powder/Colosan. The first two are fiber-based, the second two don't have any fiber at all, and are probably the easiest to deal with. Just one bottle is all you need, after that a high-fiber diet may be sufficient for someone with your symptoms.

Liver cleansing can also be very non-threatening. You can simply get a bottle of Dr. Cabot's Livatone Plus or Planetary Formula's Bupleurum Liver Cleanse and take that, eat the cleansing carrot salad, and be sure to get enough good fats in your diet along with what I call "skin food."

What you really must start doing is analyzing your tongue each morning. When a person has chronic pain, it means they simply are not digesting and eliminating toxins properly. This can be due to cold stomach, weakened pancreas, congested liver, lack of friendly microbes, gut permeability, candida - and often all at the same time! The tongue shows us what's going on, as does other symptoms of digestive distress. The FAQ explains what to look for and what to do.

where exactly in the back is the pain? have you had a consultation with a chiropractor? Oftentimes back pain isn't the back at all but instead referred pain from the major organs or intestines.

Cracking bones is Vata derangement. You need to follow a Vata-pacifying lifestyle, one that is moist and warming and includes lots of detox baths, massage, yoga, stretching, joint food and skin food.

Aloe vera juice does taste weird. Some products have more preservatives than others. Check the label, if it has tons of "benzo-this" and that, you may want to shop around for a different version. Don't take it regularly, Vata derangement only needs it rarely, in between more moistening therapies. Aloe is astringent and you're already too dry if you're having joint problems.

Be sure to read my guidelines for the candida diet and vata diets, they will be good for you.

Hope that helps! Smile

Thanks for the great response Shelley and happy Tuesday! My tongue is not usually white, but is strange looking on the sides, looks like small cuts or something. Maybe it's all in my head, but I do seem to be feeling better since starting the Fungal Defense on Saturday. Do you recommend I take the dosage indicated, increasing by one daily until you get to 8 and then taking 8 in split doses for 8 days? That really seems like alot, but hey whatever works right?!? It seems that I all of a sudden have a watery mouth though. Could this be related to taking the Fungal Defense? You mention moistening therapy. What exactly is that? Forgive me if it's mentioned somewhere on this site. I am going to check out what you advised me to read regarding Vata and Candida diets. I will also check out those products for cleansing you suggested.

Thanks again! Very Happy

Maria

Oh yes, if you eat turkey that would be great. Eggs. Seafood.
