Hi Shelley, I've made a couple posts regarding this before. This time, I was wondering how difficult it is to get rid of this condition. I've done probably around 30 flushes and I still get the big white stones coming out and severely clogging my bile ducts. I eat a diet that mimics the Atkins diet...would this lead to the formation of new fatty stones? It's nice that they are just coming out on their own without having to do extra flushes...but it's just very painful when they get stuck!

No one should eat soy except for the occasional Tofu, tempeh and fermented soy sauce -tamari. If you're drinking soy milk, you're doing your body lots of harm. Check out www.westonaprice.org for more info.

You could be dangerously low in lecithin and choline, and wheat germ oil (E).

You could have the wrong blood type for a high-animal-protein diet. I thrive on high-protein diets, not everyone does. Respect your uniqueness and find what works for YOU!

What foods would I find lecithin and choline in?

Normally the only soy I eat comes from those South Beach Diet bars that Kraft is putting out. I eat about one of those a day. I used to eat a bit more then that, but not by much. I did a bit of searching on Google to find some credible studies on soy, and it seems to be a very controversial "food" item. I am wondering if even my once-a-day bar might be causing me some problems (I am having a period every two weeks. Usually this happens to me when I'm stressed, but I've been wondering if the phytoestrogens in soy aggravate it). These fatty stones that I am seeing seem to be the last of what is in my liver, so it's possible those may not be from soy, but who knows.

One other thing that is worrying me is that I'm having a lot of pain in my liver area. It feels like there is a stone that is stuck right at the entrance to the bile duct (or possibly in the liver still). Would a stone stuck right at the entrance of the bile duct cause so much pain? It's happening at the worst time, as I am just starting my period and therefore cannot do a full flush for a week or 2.

Eggs. The protein shake is a good way to get lecithin and choline - you get both both from the eggs and the added soy lecithin, which is refined from soy but has no soy left in it.

Soy won't cause stones, but it will cause wonky periods and ovarian cysts etc. Those bar things, no matter who makes them, are phony foods and not recommended.

When experiencing stuck stone pain, you can do a small flush, even if on your period. Do an oil/juice cocktail of just one to two tablespoons each on an empty stomach, or take about a teaspoon to a tablespoon of Epsom salts, or both. If the Epsom salts work on the pain, then you know for sure a bile duct is involved, because it relaxes them.
