Thanks for that Shelley!
Is it better to take nutritional yeast or wheatgerm oil for people who want to keep acne and stress at bay? How much is needed? I definately need to add some Bs into my diet (I guess 1 pkt of Emergen-C isn't enough for the Bs?)
Also, is flax seed oil not a skin food? I take a combo of fish and flax oils.
Thanks! |

Actually, a packet of Emergen-C is enough B's, most of them are doses above RDA. But it's a good idea to get them from oils or yeast too, as a way to cycle thru various supplements.
Both nutritional yeast and wheat germ oil will help with acne. The nutritional yeast will help due to the B's, the wheat germ oil due to the E and B's and oils. These all help skin repair itself faster and promotes healthy perspiration so that pores do not get clogged and infected.
Flax seed is a skin food but there is a caution with flax: it, like most nuts and seeds, is a goitregen, meaning it has anti-nutrients that inhibit the production of the thyroid. Lowered metabolism can quickly harm the skin. I only use flax in combo with other oils and I tend to let the bottle run out and be out for awhile before I buy the next one to replace it. |

| Nutritional yeast is better than brewer's yeast. Brewer's yeast is for beer making. It has good nutrients, but doesn't taste as good and not as nutritional as nutritional yeast. |

Can I take cal/mag/fizz if I'm eating 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds a day, since that already has a lot of magnesium? And is it ok to take the vitamins you mention while you're in the cleansing phase? Thanks |
