Shelton's has long been famous for raising happy turkeys the old-fashioned way, free-range. They don't use hormones or fake soy feed. I rely a lot on their Turkey Meatballs, Sausage Patties, and Turkey Sausages (links) because they are convenient and VERY VERY TASTY! and great substitutes for pork products.

I find them at the health food store and specialty stores like Henry's. Their site has a store locator so hopefully you can find them too. If you need recipes and suggestions for how to use these products, let me know! Smile

Shelley, those products you recommended have salt in them, though. Do you know by chance if they use sea/kosher salt, or regular table salt?

They use a good salt. I can't remember if it's kosher or sea salt, but I remember their web site mentioned this. They're trying their best to make a good, safe product! Smile Since I've never had a bad reaction to it, and I do react to table salt, I think they're okay.

Their sausage patties are heaven. I had to stop eating them a few months back when my liver was unhappy. The black pepper flakes made it hurt. I'm thinking of trying them again now, or more specifically, trying the meatballs.

Which reminds me, Shelley what is the brand of quinoa pasta you buy? The only one I can find at my local Wild Oats or Whole Foods has corn in it. I'll pay you to call the store you buy yours at and ask them what brand they carry. Or, give me the name of the grocer so I can call them. LOL I just need to know the brand so I can call around locally and see if they are sold here. I'm dying for some pasta with meatballs, and some olive oil with garlic and oregano. Mmmmmmm.......

The store is Mother's Market in Huntington Beach, but I can't for the life of me remember the name brand of the quinoa pasta. Argh! They should be able to ship you out a box if you order the right amount.

Smile
