Hello Shelley,

Thank you for all your efforts. You mention that the gut can heal in as fast as 24 hours to three days if nutrient deficient and inflammation occur. I believe I have candida and leaky gut as I was on antibiotics for 8 straight years.

I've just moved on to SWF's from enema's and they're fantastic, easy, and so cleansing. I want to supercharge my healing so here's a basic protocol in addition to all your diet recommendations:

Start off with a salt water flush, then fast for 3 days on water only supplementing with L-glutamine and the herb cat's claw. After that do this same protocol but only once a week.

It's a double edge sword with both leaky gut and candida. Seems like all the kefir I drink gives me terribly symptoms because of leaky gut. Can leaky gut be healed at all if candida is still present?

God Bless,
Michael

Candida is always present. it's a fact of life. We have more microscopic life forms in our body than we do actual cells of our own. It's the stalky form that you want to stop and starve. The regular, single-celled version of yeast is harmless and actually desirable for complete digestion etc.

So you can cure the leaky gut while the yeasties are still there, it's just more difficult if you have a lot of virulent yeast, one reason why you really can't do anti-fungals. It promotes them.

You don't need much kefir. Even a tablespoon does wonders. Less than 1/2 a cup is the desired amt when candida is still running rampant.
