Friday, my stools became very pale green and stayed that way for a couple of days. I didn't have any pain except that day my stomach (not my liver) was kind of upset and sore if I ate anything. I had a few protein shakes and basmati rice throughout the day, pretty much eating lightly.
Saturday, I did the mini-flush with 2 tablespoons of oil, followed by the cleansing drink. My stools didn't change that much. Sunday midday, I took a teaspoon of epsom salts and my stools appear to be back to normal now (Monday).
I wonder what caused this. After about 3 weeks of not taking any liver stuff, I started taking 2 of the Bupleurum Liver Cleanse by Planetary Formulas in the morning and Malic Acid with my meals. I've never had any effect from a liver herb before this and I've tried plenty of them. I also did a few days of the cleansing drink with either chanca piedra or milk thistle in it 3 times a day.
I'm sure my liver is congested and am a little lost about what to do next. I'm plagued with female problems (cysts, fibroids, PMS, etc) and I can't seem to lose weight which is really getting me mad!

You probably don't need more than one protein shake a day, especially if you wish to lose weight. If your ideal weight is less than 120 pounds, then one shake with 2 eggs, and two small bowls of rice, will actually maintain your weight. So no reason why you should lose weight if you're eating more than that.
Pale green isn't bad, that's quite good. Release of cholesterol without bilirubin (the dark brown) is fine and indicates the stool was moving quickly.
Remember, pain means back off and take a break. It's okay to have a healing crisis, but a painful tummy that keeps objecting means you've been giving it too much work to do, so fast instead - skip a few meals, skip a few supplements, drink ginger/peppermint tea...
Isn't it nice that the herbs actually DID something? Woo hoo! Good for you! |
