| As many minerals antagonize eachother, what happens when your body is very deficient in - let's say-calcium, and you take a multi-mineral which both has iron and calcium in it? Doesyour body have the ability to "choose" to absorb the one it needs the most? And what about a Cal-Mag-Zinc supplement..Isn't it so that Calcium and Zing antagonize each other? What happens when you take one of these then? |

| Some practitioners say if you're not goign to do the research then it's best to take a multi-mineral and let the body fend for itself. But if you want therapeutic doses of the minerals (get your pH up to par faster) then it's best to take the one mineral you are low in and its synergists. So you wouldn't necessarily take calcium and zinc on the same day if you were very low in calcium. You'd take Calcium with Magnesium and that's about it, saving iron and/or zinc for another day. Everything you do with nutrition is a trade-off between cost, effectiveness, convenience and what's available in your local stores. |
