Hi
I´ve suffered from all kinds of symptoms for about 4 years now and it feels like I´ve tried every treatment available. I´m running out of things to try and each time I fail I just lose more hope...
Ok, everything started at a time in my life when everything was pretty chaotic. I began to feel fatigued and depressed. My first symptom was a burning feling in my bladder and I noticed I had to go pee more often than before.
I thought nothing of it at first but a few months later I decided to get some help. I was after alot of antibiotics and testing told I had non bacterial prostatitis or as they say chronic pelvic pain syndrome.
A neverending search started for a cure and during this time pain increased and spread. I also got low libido, sexual dysfunction with both PE and ED and it totally ruined my life.
A year or so after I got severe stomach issues and was told it was IBS, some people say that´s common along with CPPS. Anyway I got really bloated, gassy and had lots of diarreah especially in the mornings.
Now I also was so tired and depresed that I could hardly work and I was like 21 at the time!!!
The next thing to hit was back pain which I later found out actually was heartburn, or that´s what the doctor´s thought. This too became chronic and I had to stop jogging/running because it made it much worse.
I also began having problems with snapping and sometimes aching joints and I just felt sick all over.
Well this is pretty much me today 4 years later, I´ve tried so many different things to get better and I´ll try to list what has helped and what has not.
No remedies, pills or medicines has helped at all. Went to several chiropractors for my joints/back issues with no help at all.
Tried acupuncture without any result.
Visited a cpps specialist which did help a little with my sexual dysfunction due to stretching of both internal and external muscles.
The only thing that has had any real impact at all is diet, when I´m off sugar, gluten and lactose I instantly feel happier and have more energy. It calmes my stomach down and I don´t notice the IBS symptoms much at all. The thing is though that I don´t think I have celiac disease since symptoms can come like 2 weeks after reintroducing foods and I´m still not certain which foods cause irritation since I still get bouts of IBS even when off the obvious irritants.
I might be sugar and gluten sensitive, at least that´s my guess but I don´t think it´s the root to my problems. All other symptoms are still here.
Ever since I was little I´ve had cramps in my stomach which felt like stabs and lasted for a few secs, didn´t think much of it at the time and I don´t know if it has anything to do with the symptoms I have now. I´ve also had a back acne problem since my early teens which has gotten better since my diet change.
Anyway I´m soon to be 25 and still young although I feel like a 60 year old.
I´m currently thinking it might be candida but I don´t know, I also think I might be sugar sensitive. I have huge cravings for fast food, snacks and candy and have a hard time controlling alcohol. I´m not an alcoholic but when I consume it I have a hard time not drinking to much since I never start to feel sick, basically I always get too drunk. I´ve taken a blood test for celiac which was negative, well they´re not really accurate anyway.
I just can´t find any real food connection since my reactions seems so delayed.
Just started reading about liver flushing and that seems like it might be a good idea. I just want to feel better that´s all.
Well right now I´m going back to my GF/LF/SF diet and I´ll start flushing, hopefully that will be enough. I´m currently taking para rizol, a parasite cleanse. I read you´re supposed to do that before flushing.
Maybe I should add that I´m not overweight and I have a hard time putting on weight, I do have a bloated stomach though.
If anyone´s still reading this far, thank you!
Any input or help would be greatl appreciated! |

Hi Swede!
I feel sorry for your current condition , but by entering this site you are on the right track, as Shelley and we will take care of you. The first thing I would do, if I was you -> go to a place (doctors who know both allopathic and alternative medicine, kinesologist, etc.) where you can get a candida and a food sensibility test, it's important to have some things confirmed right..?
Ailments to address -> Candida, Leaky gut, dysbiosis, CFS,
I can relate to many of your symptoms; delayed food sensitivities, "sugar addiction or intolerance" and general feeling of fatigue. I have been suffering from so-called "chronic urticaria" (which will say in layman's terms: rashes and hives every time you get worm or sweat) for 4 years, and quite bad acne before that. I am 20 yrs old now. My acne is away (and has not left a spot:)) but I still have candida and leaky gut. Although I know I am on the right track.
When I for instance consume dairy products, my sinuses will get clogged the next day. Guaranteed. Delayed food sensitivites are maybe not so unpleasant as instant sensitivities or allergies, but they will turn you into a suspicious food detective. I avoid sugar of all kinds (apart from the occational apple or a tiny tablespoon of blackstrap molasses), all grains (apart from quinoa and brown rice), nightshades, dairy and processed/empty of nutrients food. You probably do already..
And sugar, wow, that's another story. I have been trying to stick to the diet, but have fallen off the wagon several times. I have been blaming myself for it, and wondered if I suffer from any eating disorders, but all this can have something to do with candida, because when I follow the diet I have my "checks and balances". So try to be super strict on the sugar intake and you will understand it. Bingeing or sugar addiction is about the body being deprived of nutrients (I love this link: http://www.naturopathyworks.com/pages/cravings.php) I am sure Shelley can say a lot more about this.
Reading up here and on curezone will provide you with all the information you need for finding the solution. Try not to get overwhelmed by all the vast amount of remedies and extreme regimes that exist out there (Urine therapy and oil pulling I find very LOL, although I know many people has benefited from that.)
..and btw welcome to the forum |

I'm exactly the same, does any1 know if this is indicative of Candida? Do you get some sort of resistance to alcohol because the body is so used to it being excreted into the blood by the candida?
When I used to drink I could drink all I wanted until I passed out and never ever be sick as a result. |

RE: the alcohol/candida/craving issue: I'd like opinions on this also. I too like to drink (beer), but when I find myself going a few days without it, I don't crave the beer, I crave soda! I gave up soda almost a year ago - why would I crave it when I'm not drinking beer? Because of the sugar in beer? Or the carbonation? Very curious!

Hi Swede! Yep, you have candida and you don't really need to take any tests to confirm it, just assume you have it. Y0ou also have a severe deficiency of many nutrients, particularly zinc and essential fatty acids, which really heightens the prostatis.
Candida will make you extra-sensitive to all alcohol and sugars.
Follow my entire candida protocol and you can feel better within 3 months! |

Does being "extra-sensitive" mean that you crave more? So if one is craving sugars, does that mean they have candida? Would that be the reason that even though I'm not drinking beer, I'm craving sugar to replace it? Just trying to connect all the dots here!

yep
sugar craving can mean multiple things. If chronic then you know it's candida.
Candida means alcoholism, addiction to alcohol and withdrawal symptoms once you stop sugars. |
