My tongue has changed recently

I've read a lot of posts about the tongue, but I still have questions. My tongue was fine until about 10 days ago. It has developed a deep crack just in the front tip of the tongue. It doesn't go beyond just the tip and it never was there before.

Does this indicate leaky gut or something different since it is new and so limited in length?

Interesting that it's at the tip. Usually they are in the middle or towards the back. So it's probably not the intestines so much as either the stomach or low back that's irritated.

Thank you, Shelley, for your response. Yes, it is just at the tip and wasn't that way until about 2 weeks ago.

My back doesn't seem to be bothering me, so perhaps it is the stomach. How to I soothe the stomach and return to normalcy?

Well, if it's your stomach, back off on whatever you're doing to increase stomach acids or digestive power. Could be your digestion is getting stronger naturally and so strong spices and teas are too much. I don't know what protocols you're doing so I can't say for sure.
