Hello Shelly,
I used to read your site on curezone. I have been trying to figure out my "issues" for quite a while now, seen alot of doctors, an endoctronologist, and finally one naturopath has realized that it is not all in my head, but I still need help. The naturopath does not believe in flushing, and cleansing, he game me alot of supplements, but I am not seeing the results I think I should. I have liver flushed in the past, it was very debilitating for me, so I have not gathered up the courage to do it for about 2 years now. I do not show thyroid issues on my blood work, but I have alot of the symptoms, weight gain, I am losing hair (over 100 a day) I am hideous with all the sprouts of hair growing out of me to replace the lost hair. I have a hump on the back of my neck at the beginning of my back, I have tons of stretch marks, body fat in the abdomen area, my cortisol levels are high, I have epstein barr virus which they tell me is chronic fatigue, my hormomes are whacky, I have a period which is normal, but for 2 weeks after I have what I call leftovers of dried or black blood, I had a biopsy of the uterus almost 2 years ago and they could find nothing wrong. I have elevated liver enzymes, high bad cholesterol, low good cholesterol, I am deficient in calcium according to blood tests,, I was taking oral nystatin for yeast, progesterone for hormones, 1/2 gram thyroid, some kelp, selenium, extra magnesium (to hopefully aleviate depression) 1/4 tablet hydrocortosone every other day . I do not have a gallbladder so I suffer with bile problems and have diarriah most days. I have tried juicing, fiber shakes, liver flushes, raw diet, fasting, kefir, kombucha, some of Dr. Schultz remedies, and on, I think my problem is I do not know what to do in what order. If you could help me figure this out I would appreciate it. I am very tired and just not in the "mood" to help myself out of this anymore, but as no one else will take care of me, I must do it myself as I have 4 kids to take care of I cannot just lay in bed and veg. If you are too busy, or unable, that is fine, please do not worry about it. I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving season.

OH dear. Poor you!
Delete the kombucha, it's a fad.
Most of your symptoms are due to taking progesterone without cleansing out the excess estrogen first. Concentrate on regulating your estrogen levels through diet and liver cleansing.
You don't have to do a major liver flush, I have a nice, slow, comfortable protocol in the FAQ. Livatone Plus or Liv.52 would be great, or Julia's tinctures.
Take 50 mg of chelated zinc for 30 to 60 days and see if it helps.
Avoid foods high in potassium, apart from carrots and beets. You may be one of those people who have bodies that are just naturally too high in potassium and need to not spike it all the time.
Other than that, stick to basically the candida diet, noting any food sensitivities. You shouldn't do raw. Only about 20% of your diet should be raw. The rest should be cooked or fermented.
Calcium/Magnesium is better than calcium alone.

Hope that helps! |
