|

Hi Shelley, Ive been taking your protein shake for 3 days now and have noticed that the joint pains in my fingers and elbows (a hangover from a CFS type viral infection months ago) seem to increase about 1hr after taking the shake.
I use 2 eggs, 1tb of lecithin, 1tb of oil (wheat germ, udos or cod liver separately) 1tsp of spice and 300ml of vanilla rice dream....
Do you think that this is somehow related to the shake? What should I do, do you think?
Thanks for any info! |

If it's consistent, then yes, the shake could be exacerbating your symptoms. It could be because your body is still too clogged with unusable proteins and has mineral imbalances like not enough Chromium.
It's tough to say for sure, because sometimes it's a healing crisis. Check your pulse immediately before and 30 minutes after the shake. If afterwards it rises more than 10% (stay resting the entire time) then your body is reacting to it and you should take a break from the shake for about 2 weeks and try again.
It would be safe to take 200 mcg of chelated chromium for 30 days and see if that helps with joint pain. Emergen-C with MSM and Glucosamine should also be safe and helpful.
Be sure to get enough fluids!!! |

Thanks!
I will add the chromium to my diet.
I did the pulse test twice since your responce and found only 1-2 beats difference on both tests, but will keep monitoring.
If anything, I love drinking the protein shake! It just feels so 'right'...I cant really describe it in any other way |
