It just seems weird to me, because for the last maybe couple of months, while having my period I wouldn't have any bothering pains, except the usual bloated feeling, but at least there was no pain to deal with.
Now, all of a sudden today, when my period came around, it was giving me horrible, quite uncomfortable pain. This time I was even crying. I could not not handle it. I started breathing in n out like crazy, I could barely catch my breath. I felt dizzy and weak, my body was treating me like i had just got beatin up, and like i was going into labor or something, I am out of energy.
See, in the past, yes, I would get pretty unbearable pain, but then I think it was when I started focusing more on my health, by the time my period would roll around, I had basically no pain, that made me so so happy. BUT now, it's back. But why? I have not done anything different at all, in my diet or lifestyle since then??
I mean, I even started taking cal mag fizz a week ago - and when I was not having pain, I was not even supplementing with calcium at the time, and still didn't suffer from my period. Also I'm just starting to take in codliver and coconut oils, I still do cleansing drink when I get up, I make sure to get my muti vits from the egg. I'm doing everything much the same way.
Also, when I started focusing more on my health, I decided to cut out wheat /glutenous grains and dairy. But now I know that raw is okay - I think if my bowels are less clogged, it's safer to have.
Anyways, do you know what might be the problem with me? - for this pain to suddenly come back out of nowhere? Am I missing something?
It's also funny how I had 2 normal sized BMs today, since this period started - because I usually only have 1 in the morning.
Shelley, what should I do, or start taking, or are there any changes I should make in my diet, etc?
I'm scared to have to go through that horrendous pain again. I was thinking of taking tylenol, but I know that's not good for one of my organs. Is a heating pad the only natural way to go? But it did not help unfortunately. What do you think is the best way to alleveiate bad pain like that, or even something to stop/cure the source of the pain? Is it possible!?
Please, if you or someone can help with whatever advice you may have, thank you! Thank you! |

| REad the healing crisis. We heal by layers and organs. Just because the pain stops doesn't mean you're healthy there, the uterus and ovaries are toxic dumping grounds. The pain you're having now is a good sign that the toxins there are leaving finally. Just be sure that you're getting enough magnesium, calcium and iron and EFA's, as a deficiency (common during cleansing) will increase menstruation pain. |

Thank you very much for that help.
You mentioned that this pain comeback is a good thing, which sounds pretty good (but was not prepared for the hurting!) However, I definately did change my diet around a bit since learning from you, but I have not yet cleansed at all (I need to soon)...
Anyways, I wonder why this may be a healing crisis?
Because I have not done any extensive bowel cleansing or any of that. I have mainly cut out the foods that seem to trigger problems for a lot of people (the dairy and wheat/gluten). And gradually added healthy supplements that are recomended so much here. I also know my bowel flora must have been low, since I was on antibiotics several months, so I started taking in ACV, and for better digestion, including cleansing drink whenever I can. Other than that I haven't yet taken on the bigger challenges that I need to try, like the bowel/liver cleansings.
Will make sure to keep on taking the cal/mag and oils. I just hope next time my period comes it will not try to kill me haha - do you think it will happen again, even if I keep doin what I'm doing?
I'm still learning how our bodies work and heal. I'm so happy you made this site by the way, You helping so many people all over the world |

If you're eating super-foods and taking the cleansing drink and NOT eating junk, then you ARE cleansing! Just very very mildly so yes, you shouldn't be getting much of a healing crisis. However, giving your body wonderful nutrients will allow it to start "taking out the garbage" as it were. Keep it up!
The other thing that could be going on is the combo of the weather and the most amazing full moon (very close to the earth) that we've had in awhile. Everyone I know is experiencing odd hormonal things like sleep disturbances and wonky PMS. |

| Full mooon, eh? That explains a LOT. My hormones are shot to s**t right now and I am getting the weirdest back pains and can't figure out for the life of my WHY. I had suspected it might be something to do with the moon cycle and the tides, and darn it if I'm not due for my period here in a couple days. grumble curse moan whine |

Glad to read about the full moon effect - I've been doing the Colonix cleanse for about 2 weeks now, and all of a sudden I've been having PMS symptoms again (2 whole weeks before I'm due to start). Been very cranky with people and breast fullness/tenderness and mild cramping. I figured it was the cleanse dredging things up, but that didn't explain all of it very well. Perhaps it's the moon working as well.

Aside from an acne forum, there should be a moon cycle/pms forum if only for Shelley to post announcements. Something along the lines of:
| Quote: | To all female forum members: Be prepared to experience unpleasant and unexplainable physical and emotional symptoms between dd/mm/yyyy and dd/mm/yyyy.
To all male forum members: Be prepared to experience the effects of your wife's/girlfriend's/teenage daughter's/mother's unpleasant and unexplainable physical and emotional symptoms between dd/mm/yyyy and dd/mm/yyyy.
To all male forum members whose mother-in-law's live with them, expect the usual ration of s**t to increase slightly and for your wife to side with her mother for no good reason. Remain calm and barricade yourself in the tool shed with a sleeping bag and a week's supply of Slim Jims and beer between dd/mm/yyyy and dd/mm/yyyy. |
This forum would also be wonderful to have just so that when we do get a visit from Aunt Rose , we can gather together to whine incessantly about it and receive acknowledgement (shock!!! gasp!!!), support, encouragement and helpful tips and reminders for alleviating the discomfort without resorting to Demerol. I know. I know. We have all read the FAQ and know what we can do diet-wise to alleviate many of these issues, but sometimes during the course of any given month, circumstances might get in the way. Too much stress, too much wine, too much Krispy Kreme, an injury that got our system out of whack, etc. It'd be good to have a specific place to go to document the atrocities and have other people there to reply with empathy, something we can rarely expect from our men or children or pets. It'd also probably be funny as Hell to read. Here's what my entry would look like:
| Quote: | Last night I watched the full moon glow a briliant blue in the night sky. My husband and I stared admiringly at its beauty through a telescope, the warm summer night's breeze adding to the gentle pleasure of our novice astronomical experience. I sipped my tea. He sipped some wine. We nibbled on slices of fruit and noted that this was indeed a romantic evening. My left breast hurt and my lower back began to ache, but I said nothing, not wanting to break the spell the wonderous full moon had cast.
This morning I woke up in the fetal position, clutching my stomach. I had just been dreaming that someone had surgically attached a tire pump to my belly button and was inflating me with swift precision. After the first wave of cramping had past, I limped to the kitchen and made myself a cup of ginger tea. Ahhh, relief. Fortunately, I was off work today. I decided to watch a romance movie on TV on a station I normally avoid like the plague: Lifetime, Television for Victims. I laughed and sighed my way through the imperceivable plot line like a teenager. Also, like a teenager, I counted the pimples forming on my chin. Then, I wept bitterly through a Purina Dog Food commercial. What if my cats died someday??? How would I survive without them?
A few hours later my husband called to say how much he loved watching the moon the night before, and could we set up the telescope again after dinner tonight? He asked what I had planned for dinner tonight. I told him to f**k off and die.
How are you ladies doing today??? |
Kidding. I wouldn't tell him to die. And, yes. I started my period this morning, 4 days early. The symptoms are actually not too bad at all today, but I was moody and had a back ache last week for no reason that I could explain. I'm sure my husband appreciated it, too.
Anyway, back on topic. Zits! |
