I'm a college student who is studying biology and considered med-school, but after finding this site and doing research on my own I have really become interested in naturopathy. I want to be the kind of doctor that actually cares for their patients and I feel I could do that as an ND. However, is it a lucrative profession? What are some other lucrative professions within the field of naturopathic medicine? Money would not be my reason for doing anything, but i also don't want to have to struggle to make ends meat. Any suggestions?
thanks,

| What you might want to do is talk to "real" orthodox doctors who practice general medicine. They are not making much money. Now that they've given all their power to HMO's, the HMO's are making the money. Only specialists like kidney doctors and plastic surgeons are making big bucks. Of course their idea of "not much money" can be 100k a year, but compare that to the 300k that they USED to make...and then subtract the liability insurance premiums that are only getting higher... |
