| i am a healthy 21 year old male who contracted oral thrush 3 months ago. i am a little confused as to how i got it. i had oral sex with my girlfriend 2 weeks before i showed signs of infection. the doc checked my immune system and said it was very healthy, since then i have had blood blisters in my mouth occasionally and very sensitive skin, can a person with a healthy immune system get systemic candidas? and how did i get it in the first place if my immune system was healthy. i used mycelex trouched and i got rid of the thrush right away and it hasnt come back since. i would greatly appreciate some feed back! |

The candida could have infected your sinuses. It's very common and doctors give out antibiotics for it rather than anti-fungals, which is NO help at all.
Best thing to do is sinus irrigation. Most drugstores have a sinus irrigation tool. My personal fave is the Neti Pot.
Just warm up some water, add regular salt - some say table salt is best, some say sea salt is best - just enough to make it salty, and get it into your sinuses however you can. I rarely have sinus problems so sometimes all I do is cup my hand and snort it up. After you get some water up there bend over, hang your head, and very gently blow it out.
An alternate to salt that is especially good for candida is a solution of colloidial silver. |

| don't bother with doctors or antifungals unless you're really suffering. Prescription anti-fungals don't do much. And if they do, they usually just make the yeast more virulent as it fights back. I'll be writing up the low down on antibiotics, be sure to read it. It's important to understand how they work. |
