Hi Shelley,
You suggested to me recently do take my temperature every morning to check for thyroid. I've done it for 5 mornings up to now and will do 2 more but I'm sure it will more or less stay the same.
1st day 36.1 C
2nd day 36.5 C
3rd day 36.1.C
4th day 36.1 C
5th day 36.3 C
36.1 is 96.98 F, so up to now I average about 97 F. Presumably this means my thyroid is OK as you said watch out for anything below 96.5?
The issue was around beta-carotene toxicity due to yellowing of my skin.
Thanks

| the 96.5 was a general guideline. IF your normal waking and active average temp is 98.6, that's more than a degree lower. When it's more than a degree lower, your metabolism is slightly impaired. it's so slight, however, that it may not be the thyroid, it may just be lack of oxygen carrying ability (not enough red blood cells or good fats) or lack of zinc. So I'd try supplementing with zinc for a week and try the test again. |
