Hello everyone! I hope this missive finds you better than ever and enjoying the wonderful summertime.
I'm really enjoying fresh California grown fruit - summer candy! and making lots of salads since it's so warm I can eat more raw. My current favorite salad is assorted organic baby greens, raw beets grated, baby carrots grated, radishes grated, celery and jicama dressed in a balsamic vinagraitte with lime juice and crushed garlic, Italian seasoning, a bit of liquid Stevia, salt and pepper. I use both olive oil and Udo's Choice. Yum Yum!!!
I'm also taking a break from washing the blender every day by making cottage cheese bowls. I use Harmony Farms organic cottage cheese - it's SO creamy you won't believe it! - and add in plenty of Udo's Choice, Wheat Germ oil, sometimes Nutritional Yeast Flakes (I'm finding I don't need it as much anymore), and top it off with fresh pineapple or blueberries or chilled "jarred" grapefruit slices, OR pour in a bit of strawberry flavored kefir, or cinnamon. Sometimes I add an egg yolk. You won't believe how filling and satisfying this meal is. Alta Dena also makes a good cottage cheese.
I'm still keeping to an odd schedule, mostly off the computer, altho the Literature Circle material is getting to the point where I shall have to start typing.
I'm also doing some MAJOR healing via intense meditation, including restoring kidney and thyroid function, and it is very exhausting - but for a good cause so I don't mind.
See, one of the tricks to succeeding in life is to accept that life is full of suffering, then go on to make sure that you're at least suffering for a good reason. Don't use up all you masochistic tendancies on the wrong causes, such as going to the wrong job just because you don't like looking for a new one! You'll suffer either way, but one has HOPE that the suffering will be LESS!
I'll be making more posts, but most of them will be NEW posts rather than responses, since simple informative posts don't tax me near as much as tapping into people's issues. Be sure to be on the lookout for these new posts, which will hopefully speak to someone on this board - maybe you! or maybe a friend of yours!
A hearty welcome to all our new members!!! I missed a few of your posts for various reasons. Hopefully I've found them all, if I haven't, please feel free to bring them to my attention if you still want the issue addressed.
Thanks to everyone who has answered posts in my stead, your assistance and knowledge is greatly appreciated! If anyone wants Moderator status, please let me know.
A big hug goes out to you all!
