I have only been on PD for a few days now but I definitely see improvement in my symptoms. Do I really need to stay on this stuff for the rest of my life? (it is so expensive). Is there a less expensive product that is similar? Also, I am currently taking chlorella: should I discontinue since the PD already has chlorophyl?
BTW, I have been a fan of yours for quite some time and am tickled pink to see your new web site. |

Hiya Roselinville! Welcome to the new site, so glad you found it!
My philosophy is that just about all intervention should be temporary or cyclic. Dependency is not vital health!!!
With PD, it's best to take it for at least 2-4 weeks for full benefit, then switch to populating the residents. Now that is something you DO need to do all of your life. Eating kefir, yogurt, homemade sauerkraut/cortido/kim chee (see the Kitchen forum for recipes/instructions) and Bragg's apple cider vinegar is truly crucial to maintaing healthy flora, which is a huge part of remaining youthful and vigorous. PD is a way to clean house, it is full of the transients that help the residents by cleaning things up and killing off the pathogens. It does not populate the gut with residents at all. |

Hi Shelley!
So what you're saying is that the PD is basically "cleaning house" for me to make room for the goodies to live(ACV, sauerkraut, kefir, yogurt, etc)?
Just making sure I'm understanding correctly.
Thanks!
