Hi Shelley!

So my new diamondlite fillings are working out great so far- so glad to have the amalgams out of me. There has been a little bit of a mishap, tho. One of the amalgams was quite deep and when he was replacing it the pulp was exposed a tiny bit. So what he did was place a pulp cap on it and then put the filling in. He said there is a 50/50 chance that this tooth will need root canal or extraction. All was well until a couple weeks ago. I got a little pain in the tooth, which got worse, and one day was not nice at all. It did however only hurt when I chewed on it. I figured it might be infection, so I swished with GSE, took GSE internally, applied oil of oregano and took it internally, took a bunch of garlic and ramped up my immune system with plenty of probiotics and ecchinacea for 3 days (I'm just on the candida diet anyways). This seems to have beaten it down, the pain went away and the tooth feels completely normal now. The dentist said just to keep an eye on it and if there was no pain it is probably fine. Do you think there is anything else that I need to do? I know about the perils of tooth abcess, should I just not worry about it if there's no symptoms, or is it possible for the infection to "lay low?" Thanks Smile

Sounds like you've taken care of it just fine! Get regular checkups and supplement cal-mag fizz occasionally, that's about it. Smile
