Hi Shelley:

I have a question regarding oxypowder.

When do you know when to stop it?

According to the manufacturer you're supposed to stop it when you have normal well fomed stools, but I wonder if this will ever happen.

As far as I know, oxypowder is based on magnesium compounds and every magnesium supplement in high doses will give you liquid stools, so I wonder if someone will get normal stools with this supplement.

Makes me think that the manufacturer knows that one will never get well formed stools, thus, you need to buy and buy more oxypowder, believing that you will get well-formed stools at some point.

Thanks for your help,
RMA

After a couple weeks people DO start getting formed stools on Oxy-powder. My advice is to only take the one bottle and that's it, otherwise imbalances from the magnesium may result. Once you're clean then you have to look to diet and lifestyle to maintain regular BMs. If you have a long history of chronic constipation then after your bottle of Oxy-powder it's a good idea to switch to freshly ground flax seeds and flax seed tea or a fiber-based cleanser so the colon gets exercsed and reshaped. Check out the Bowel Management notes in the FAQ for more info. Smile
